2005 GT...Anyone know the size, or even better, have a link to a good weather stripping to replace the chipped cowl weather strips? This is the one that is attached to the cowl the provides a clean transition to the windshield.

The only way I know of to get that is by buying both cowl panels. They are still available. Expensive though. I recently bought a set for a 10-14 car.

When I remember correctly. there is no separate weatherstrip, it is a rubber edge molded in the plastic part.
But the price is insane.

Having the same issue on my wife's explorer. Rubber seal is all cracked, I don't know how it's in such bad shape being a 2017. Replacement panel is $200.

I have a question, maybe its a dumb one, but how important is that strip? My car just turned 15 years old (holy shit!) and theres a few chunks missing. It never sees rain, but of course water is presented during washing. No fucking way im dropping over 600 for those panels. LMAO ridiculous

I asked the same thing. What does it even do- keep some water out of the cowl? Doesn't really seem all that important.

Considering an Amazon weather stripping because I don’t want to drop $600 for the replacement cowl. NFW.

Anyone find a good option?
