Worked some on spool at the line last night. I think cam timing is going to be a big help. ;)

I don't think you would have an issue at all with a manual. The only reason I'm having issues is because of the stock converter.

I tuned the quickest 2011 manual turbo car. He had no issues spooling on a 2 step.

That was a 1.51 60'. And on that car I didn't play with spool at all in the tune. So with some work it could get much better I'm sure.

That's not bad at all!

So let's say I build a turbo setup for my car, what would it cost to have YOU tune it, im located in tx, but having gone trough 3 motors including 1 forged motor being melted from bad tuning im definatly gonna go with someone who knows wtf they are doing

The only tune I ever ran on my 2011 car sad to say was a lund cammed tune from evolution and it lasted 1000 miles before the smoke started.... :(

You melted a forged coyote?

No I broke a ringland #8

I blew up 2 stock 4.6 motors

A n/a 2v let go after 220k hard miles wrapping 7k rpm

3v turbo wastegate got stuck, :/

And a forged 3v with the same turbo, I took it to a local tuner who claimed to be good and i watched him make my headers glow red
Then it started smoking....

I had it tuned by someone else and drove the piss out of it until the smoke got unbearable

Returned car to stock bought a 5.0

4000 miles later after a jlt, offload h pipe , mufflers and tune
it started smoking
I tore it apart and its going back together as soon as I find head gaskets for. 010 over that can handle lots if boost, its full forged, and arp, JE coated pistons custom made 11:1

I would only tune something like that in person. I would make the trip there if you could line up a few cars. It would probably be too expensive for me to come there just for your car.

Unless you are talking about this kit. Then it will come with tuning from Jon Lund and me.

I wish KenB would ask Jon Lund if the cammed tunes provided by Evolution are actually Jon Lund tunes or tunes that Evolution have written. With Ken and Jon being close friends maybe we could get a straight answer to this question. I called Jon myself when ordering my tunes from him and when sent to me they came from his email. I've been running the 93 Lund cammed tune for the last 8000 miles or so with zero issues.

Evolution does zero tuning on their own to my knowledge. All tunes from Evolution and Lethal Performance are from Jon.

Im not blaming jon at all but I wish I knew what happened, why? !?!

Were the knock sensors turned off?
I can assure it not me, I never hit the limiter and shifted below 7, always ran 93+ octane and never tampered with anything

It clearly detonated at some point
I bought duel aeroforce gauges for my new build to monitor this thing lol

Well considering bone stock ones have done the same thing, I would just say you probably just were unlucky. FRPP has also had at least one Boss let loose on the track key already.

I highly doubt it was anything in the tune.

But now you have a built engine. Might have been painful but there is plenty of other costly things you could have had happen in your life that that don't end up nearly as cool.

I agree with you

I can't afford another tune with it being the holidays so I was going to use the stock tune and stock airbox for break in

I want to use the tune the SCT already has on it so I can turn my rear o2 sensors off but im scared of that

This will be a nervous start up

I would just leave it stock. You don't have to turn off the rear o2s for startup.

We made some major breakthroughs on cam timing last night. Headed back to the track tonight!
