Are ya'll joining both sides before the intercooler, or using one on each side?

I was looking at my engine bay last night, and can't believe how you're making the downpipes fit! Can't wait to see it in person (Texas Mile in March?). Awesome build!

Not yet but that is in the plans. We wanted to get the system worked out on a stock engine first to keep it as simple as possible. After we prove the system, then we will be installing a proper longblock. We also wanted to see how well it will do at low boost on a stock engine.

And now that we are considering making it a kit, I'm glad we are going that route. So what we started with is a bone stock car and just out system.

They will y together a little before it get's to the intercooler. I'm not sure what the date is on the March Texas mile but that is definitely a goal. It will also be at Bradenton NMRA in March.

Thanks. I don't think they've set a date for it yet.

Ken, Ive subs to the email address already but wanted to let you know that I have a 2010 Boss 302 that id love to let you use as a beta. It would go great with the twin turbo 2010 GT500 I already have.

Thanks and keep up the great work!

Any recent updates?

Been working hard but no pictures handy. Jake started on the cold side but we weren't happy with where it was headed. We just didn't have the room to run the size piping we wanted on it way TO the intercooler. So we are going to do a custom modified radiator/sway bar mount to give us exactly the clearance we want.

Today/tomorrow the work on that should be starting.

The oil lines to the turbos are plumbed and the huge intercooler tank is mounted in the trunk. If it wasn't thanksgiving this week I'm sure we would have it started by the end of the week. We still might.

Awesome, I will make a note of that. Once we we get our numbers done on this car and finalize the design, I'll be sending out regular updates to that list. Things should progress pretty quickly once we have the design done.

Ok, got the cold side mapped out today and we are VERY happy with how it's all going to fit. Unfortunately I didn't get many pictures. But Jake should have some of it welded up tomorrow and can snap some pictures.

Here is the only picture I have

But I also drew you a picture. :)

The blue is where each turbo will feed into the intercooler. And the green is where it will go from intercooler to throttle body.

It's all going to fit in there very cleanly and require no cutting and the plastic on the bottom of the car will stay 100% in tact.

Hey Ken, regarding making the kit so you don't have to modify anything...

Do you have a CS Valance?

The CS valance requires cutting for the Vortech kit as HOLYWD showed us, whereas the stock valance doesn't require modification.

In the interest of keeping it modification-free, any thoughts of grabbing a CS valance to insure you won't have to cut that either?

Just some food for thought, I'd hate to see you get complaints about people having to cut the CS valance, without you knowing about it.

If this becomes a kit, it will be tested on everything we say it will fit before we say it will fit. :)

Not that it matters, but what's a kit like this going to run, costwise?

No idea, not even for sure making it a kit yet. Obviously there are also many components to this kit that wouldn't be included in a 'base' kit. Like the trunk mounted intercooler tank and the expensive heat exchanger. That stuff will be optional.

So when this car is done, we will have to finalize a production version of the kit, figure out what it will cost us to manufacture and then decide if we can bring it to market for a reasonable price.

It won't be available if we can't make it reasonable. It will obviously be more than a single kit or a blower, but hopefully based on value it will be the best deal out there.

That being said, I'm pretty confident that we can bring it to market at a good price.

Getting the tank all setup in the trunk. We didn't make the tank, the owner had it from another project. We did add the larger cap.
