Id love to see an in-car vid. I wanna hear sexy turbo sounds ^_^

It's unlike any turbo car I've driven. Usually I'm not a huge fan of the way one sounds, but always love how they drive/power. The exhaust on most sounds 'hollow', hard to explain. This one is so quiet you either can't hear it or all you hear are the turbos and then the blow off. It's awesome.

I'll try and capture it with my cellphone but not sure if you will really be able to hear it. Might need a better camera.

Correct it has an off road pipe. I like the stock mufflers :) loud cars just draw attention. Lol

Twins have the best chance to sound a little better, my partner's twin 2V with a new locally made X sounds incredibly well, singles OTOH suck.

What rpm do you hit full boost at?

You said only 12 degrees of timing for that run, how much timing did you run to make 605? Do you know how much power the car was making when you ran it with 12 degrees of timing?

EDIT:

Also was that on 9lbs?

First off, forgot to mention it but I'm calling it 8 psi. The first night we were getting a wavy boost reading due to the placement of the sensor so I guesstimated 9. It's actually closer to 8.

On the dyno I had about 16* in it for 605.

I'd guess it was somewhere around 570-580 at the track.

Have you ran into any issues with underhood temp yet? From the pics it look like the down pipes run pretty close to the sound deadener stuff on the strut tower, and close to the valve covers.

That car sounds soooo sexy!

Nothing at all yet! I've been beating it on the street pretty good (for testing of course :) ) and no issues. And don't forget everything will be coated eventually.

RPM for full boost? That may be hard to tell right now since it wont hook down low.

Around 3,900 so far but I haven't played with cam timing much. But even at that point, the car drives PERFECT. There really isn't a thing I want to change. Anything I do on the tune will be to try and improve track times.


Got it all cleaned up and ready for the track rental! Hope the rain holds off.
