Hello other drivers I’ll get straight to it I have a 2012 ford mustang gt manual that was hit on the passenger side radiator support a while back.
I’ve managed to get the car to run on and drive but of course the body and frame rails are all junked up on the passenger side so I thought about just swapping the engine onto another car. Now the other guy had no insurance so I still got to keep the car and since it turns on my delusions told me to keep it and figure out what to do with it.
I have no previous experience swapping an engine but I’m never shy to a challenge and am willing to take the time to learn. I’m pretty much here to ask you educated chuds what you think is possibly the easiest swap for a coyote engine I pretty much have 3 options. I found a v6 automatic of the same year that would cost around $3k, I found an automatic 4 cylinder 1987 fox body that the another guy is selling for around $1k I know that the fox body will need a new k member kits and all that junk, or a new edge 2004 mustang that I can also grab up for cheap I don’t care about potential issues in any of these cars as long as the body is straight.
If you would so kindly mention what I need to know and or buy for any of these swaps that would be greatly appreciated. So I have the entire 2012 mustang gt with an mt82 and a 5.0 coyote both with 91,000 miles. I’ll put before and after so you get an idea of what I’m working with please be as mean as possible any advice is welcomed

Swapping everything over to another S197 (especially another '11-'12 car) is certainly going to be the easiest. It will be 95+% remove everything from your car and bolt it on to the same spot in the other car.
Being able to use all of the wiring from the donor will save a ton of hours.

Don't overthink it. The V6 will be pretty much plug & play if you swap over everything. Good luck.

The same body style V6 all day, every day.. unless you're just dying to modify a bunch of stuff and take longer to be driving it.

V6 auto=plug&play, 'cause same year, no fab of any kind needed. Just transfer of parts.

The other 2 will require a lot of "problem solving". Custom fab, etc.
