CR Spotless Water System

My outside faucet is currently hooked up to a water softener, so when I wash my vehicles I'm basically pouring salt water on them. I've been looking at alternatives and came across this, http://www.crspotless.com/de-ionizing-water-systems/diw-10-medium-output-wall-mounted-system.html .

Just curious if anyone has had any experience with these or at least maybe seen it in action.

So what I got out of that is that softened water removes all the harsh minerals in exchange for water with high sodium. That only water that goes through a deionization process, which the CR system does, can be truely spotless.

Some of the reviews say they wash their car and leave it to dry in the sun without any spots later. I just find that hard to believe. Appreciate the link though.

I have a friend that washes his car with softened water and then uses a deionizer inline on the water hose to spot free rinse it.
