I want to put old school 15x10 cragars on the rear and 15x6's in front with bfgs all around on my s197. Anyone know if this has been done before and what it takes to do it?

Backspace/offsets will push the wheel much further out. You'll need flares and maybe even cut the wheel arches.

15's might not even clear the brakes.

So possibly go with a 8 inch rear wheel? I want the rears to have the deep dish look and the fronts to look like the old front runners back in the day. Maybe not possible, but I hate the way all these new wheels look and the lack of white letters sucks.

You might have a look at these. They are 17", but on these Mustangs, that size wheel with the right tire will have the proportions of the old 15s with the old BFs. The wheels come in different offsets and widths so you can get a deeper look out back, shallower in front.

You can get the paint pens to fill in the lettering so you wouldn't be limited to the old TAs. There are much better tires out there.

15 X 10's on my 2011, ( sold Sept. 2017 ), not Cragar.
Besides the correct offset & back spacing, you'll need a swaybar relocation kit.
Fronts are 17 X 5, to clear the brakes..

I am awaiting delivery of a set of new U.S. Mags "Indy" U101s,

in 17x9, with proper skookum fitment specs. Happy 20th birthday, Bluebonnet!

She is an early run (Nov. 2004) 2005 Sonic Blue GT,
is my 2nd consecutive new model with OEM 'Cragar-SS' cfg tribute wheels, which are ideally suited for the S197,
so I repeated the option after her predecessor, a 2002 mineral grey GT.

She always begged for a shaker hood (finally done, 2019) and the older I get, the more I wanted a nod to the wheels of my youth; Centerlines and Cragar polished slots.

For all the reasons noted above, here, there or anywhere...a FUTILE goal, long before interweb SEO and enshittification of all buyer resources.

I found them "by accident of coincidence" —no such thing— having stumbled upon a reference to a vintage 4WD Offroad specialty shop in Colorado.

I was astonished (insert Philip Fry JUST TAKE MY MONEY meme).

I will report back with photos.
Godspeed, ya'll
