Anyone have the Crank position relearn done with a tune already in the car? I did a search and didn't come up with anything either way.

How do they tune it back to stock when its modded already? Do they still have to turn the car on and rev the engine? I had the same issues at the dealer, I needed a relearn but the car needed to be turned back to stock, with a blower I'm not doing that. So...they turned my sensors off! Yay! There goes the engine.

mine was only a cai car.. so we put the stock cai back on.. stock tune... they did the relearn.. i threw the cai back on and uploaded the tune... i can see it being a hassle for a car that was modded more then mine was.

a procedure that should be done usually at the dealership (as they have the diagnostic software or whatever ford calls it) after you've done certain maintenance evolutions ie, clutch replacement, transmission replacement, cams changes, etc.

here is one, how to do a crank relearn on a coyote crate engine, as in a coyote swap car.

i have the swap in my 08 and have pulled the trans numerous times and pulled the flexplate numerous times. Have not had a crank relearn code thrown yet. But my buddy works for ford and tried to do it for me but the ids tool could not read vin. so he didn't do it. Will i know if and when it needs to be done. car runs good so i don't know .

Page 19: "The 60-40 mph decel profile learning algorithm has been left active in the software as a backup."

If I read that right that performs the learn too but may not be as accurate for high rpm.
