Crank Shaft Bearing

Bought used 4.6 3v and noticed a needle bearing on backside of crankshaft where torque converter mounts onto. The original 4.6 3v coming out does not have it. Should I remove this bearing and thoughts are much appreciated. See pics....

That is a pilot bearing present for manual 4.6 3vs. You can use a pilot bearing removal tool to remove the bearing.

@ SA210 BEWARE that you use the correct alternator !! Auto vs Manual the alternators are different- ( pulleyvise )

So you need to use the alternator that was original in your car
