I run a 750hp KB Mammoth, GT500 fuel pumps, and dual BAPs .
No boost a pump duel gt 500s only 3.5 weeks old.

Well the battery disconnect and reflash did not work.
After cranking the car i pulled a plug and it did smell of gas.
Disconnected MAF and car still would not start.
Just for shits and giggles going to check the rest of the plugs ,but I figure even with bad plugs car would run ,run like shit but at least run.

It stops not continuous. It makes kind of a whoosh and a dull click sound.

Charles, I wish there were, Status quo.
Tech advisor seems to think the PCM is fried am searching for one that is suitable.Tried all of the above suggestions today with no luck. Spoke to the ford rep who is familiar with the modified status of the car and he was worried a new PCM wouldnt load the stock tune due to the computer not recognizing the car as they are ordered by VIN # and before being flashed by SCT /DIABLO etc etc... they are flashed by Ford to "as built" status. So between a rock and a hard spot I sit.

I can get a free tow to the dealership and am willing to pay the $450 they want for a new PCM but I want them to assure me they can get it flashed before I do that. The last thing I want is my car stuck at Ford in a non-running condition.

As for the Re-flash story that Ford gave me, I have to wonder what someone who blows an engine or burns one up and then installs an aftermarket engine would do somehow the computer would have to be flashed. I can't be the first guy who this has happened to.
Anyone who knows about this please chime in. I am due to talk to service manager again tomorrow and need info on this.

hawg and some others had PCM issues.. but theirs were different.. I'm sure with the brains anything can be messed up, but $450+ stock tune and labor is steep for an unknown.. IF you are going that route I would try to have them give you a guaranty that if that doesnt fix your issue you pay nothing.. I just dont know what else to try.. sorry

If you are getting fuel like you said you are, try starting the car with the gas pedal to the floor. I had this happen to me once, the car would crank but not fire but I was getting fuel. When I started it with the pedal to the floor it started up idled rough for a minute and then settled out. Obviously when the rpm's start to climb after you start the car you let off the gas.

Saw your advice last night cranked it today with pedal on floor for about 10 to 15 seconds. Car cranks strong but just won't fire.

Am going to try and get them to agree that if they can't flash the PCM I don't want it ,problem is my car would still there and not running so then I will have to pay to tow back home.

I know there has been some false readings on fuel gauges with the duel pump set up. This one has been giving good readings since install. Any one who has had false gas gauge reading : were they bad from the get go or did they get fubared after a couple of weeks?
Gauge is showing 1/2 a tank and the amount of driving I did from full mark was about right for that reading, kind of clutching at straws here.

AAA my friend.. I walked in to one of their offices last week before my tune(just in case..haha) and got the membership for $120.. 4 tows for 1)200 mi 3) 100mi.

They have a little cheaper if you just want to do the 4=100mi Its more then worth it. I was in and out after 15 minutes and you can use it in 48 hours or less.

Already a member of AA may as well join AAA. Thats what got me home the other night a fellow member of my Mustang [Tri state stallions] club was behind me when the car crapped out turned right around and got the flatbed there for me in about 20 minutes, leave no pony [unless your racing it] behind.

If you shipped Chandler your existing PCM, is it possible he can test it in another car? It might need to be re-flashed back to Stock before you send it, though...
But at least that way you could find out if it's functional...??

Car is going to the dealership today.
Service manager is going to try and do a reflash to stock there may be a chance it has lost the program rather then burnt up. If that does not work we are going to replace the PCM.

If you have a hand held tuner you need to return it stock yourself first! Dont let the dealer flash over your modified tune. And if you get a different pcm just have your tuner fix your tune for the new computer code before you reload it in the car.

Car has been diagnosed and is up and running.
The first thing the dealership found was blown fuse to the PCM .This fuse was not in the fuse box which is why I missed it.
The reason for the blown fuse was a partially melted #8 COP wire touching metal ,this would in my mind also explain the backfire / detonation noise. After cop shorted out it either over fed or starved #8 cylinder causing noise and then fuse blew causing car to die.I have to give credit to Malouf Ford in North Brunswick NJ they had the car for all of 1/2 hour and it was diagnosed and up and running.Service manager calls and asks me "Which tune do you want us to load the 93 race or street 93 #1 or street 93 #2" stand up guys. Thanks for all the help guys.
