Datalogging with Wideband

I have failed!!

Finally got the din.. did a crappy soldier job and put it on.. Made sure the BGD is set on 10-16. I opened up my live-link and added analog 1 and put the new value= 10+1.5*V .. started the car and the pos only shows 10.000800 and it seems to count down to 10.000000.. I tried switching the cable input and that did nothing..

Forget about the formula for a sec, just leave "V" there, see what does it read and see if it matches what you can read with a VOM first.

Today was full of fail. Went to the local roach coach to get some tacos. While I'm waiting the hottest Asian girl all dressed up walks up next to me. I do the manly thing and look at her boobs and butt. She almost caught me and we smiled. I get my food and think she will love my stang, which is on the other side of the roach coach. Well I get in ready to show off my manliness. I start up the car and you know that big ass mondo I'm so proud of? Well once I started the car a Hugh mushroom cloud blew from under car. It was like a fucking sand storm from the movie dune!
Anyway I was shocked and the damn wind slowly pushed it to the other side of the coach where she and others were standing! I saw them waving their hands coughing. So I was fuuuuuck. I started to leave and my car was so low that I scraped the shit out of it right in front of her! Double snap fail!!! Noth g went good for me today :-/

Did you read the same voltage on the livelink than in the VOM?

Just use "V" in the equation.

I just put V in the equation box and ran it. It didn't look right. I'm using live link 6.2. There is an update that I'm doing now, but I don't think that is the issue. Also I don't k ow what the AIT is reading high.

Something has to be wrong with the wiring, check that until VOM and analog using V match.

AHHHHH.. fuck.. I uploded the livelink update and it crashed the program.. then I uninstalled it and reinstalled the new version.. now it will come up but the pids now dont update on any of them.. anyway I checked the voltage with everything pluged in and its not reading the same.. very small voltage.. I unplugged the sct and it jumped up.. so either the connector is fed up or something with the sct.. I will have to try to buy another din and try again later.. =-/ fail day # 3

I have the cable which I purchased from VMP tuning. How are you guys wiring it to the autometer wires. Are you using connectors or soldering the wires and hiding the analog cable under the dash?

I used some male/female plugs so I can connect and disconnect when done. I just need to order the din again.. this time have them soldier =-/

Soldered mine and ran the cable under the dashland behind the radio so it's easily accessible from the passenger side. I just have to reach behind the radio and pull the cable out and have the XCAL and Lap Top there on the passenger seat.

not yet.. I just got back from vacation, then F'ed up my back 2 days ago. haha.. Now I'm able to walk and sit without too much pain.. I have to order the cable. doing that now.

damn.. I bought the VMP cable $20+$10(shipping)= $30 bucks

Got the over priced VMP cable.

-Cut female end
- found out sig gnd= light purple wire
- found AN1 = green wire
- put a connector on both and crimp and heat shrink
- smoked and drank
- hooked everything up
- set livelink an output to just read V

all it does is read. .00457437 and its counting up, not going back and forth. On the volt meter( connected to Autometer outputs) it reads 1.3-3 volts.

so for some reason live link is not reading the right voltage or being displayed right.
I dont get it. fuck fuck fuck

I first loaded the config file I had saved and that has about 12 different things included.. that has the equation and it was reading that same as in that video (10.a bucnch of numbers counting up). Then I tried V only and thenn that failed and I tried started a new list with just the analog and V and thats when I came up with the .03438373 numbers counting up. Also the time stamp under it.

The sct2 (9415) must be getting the right voltage to it. Is there a setting or something I can be missing on the sct? I just plugged it in and shows program vehicle like normal.

I heard something about people putting a setting somewhere in live link to tell the analog like what device to use or something.

Like once you make analog1 and set it for V that there might be another setting some where else. like PLX or some other setting...ahhh.. fuck..

No wonder you didnt come and visit Lito.. I suck. I'm lucky I can work the coffee pot.. haha
