It all depends on how you drive it. Any amount of bashing will never be covered under warranty. If you track it frequently or run 1/4 miles every weekend, no warranty will ever cover that. If you want to play, be prepared to pay.

Are they really going try and figure out if you race your car? They know how people drive these cars. It should be built to handle the race track. What's the point of building a high hp car if u can't race if and stand behind it via warranty.

It's easy to check. All they have to do is check this forum where you post your times, pictures of your cars, where you live, etc. Ford racing is out to sell race parts not warranty your car. Look at all the discussion there was on line lock, how it can be used etc. Unless it's in writing don't be confident it will be covered. When I asked Ford Racing about the warranty on a SC'd Aluminator they were vague. Again, you shouldn't have any problems so long as you don't beat the crap out of it. My 2011 GT is 620-650 RWHP, soon to be 700 with 30k miles as a DD and should last a couple more years as I don't beat on it every weekend. I'm waiting on Ford to offer the GT350 crate engine, then I will swap one in and take my car to 800rwhp (assuming it will be all forged internals with better flowing heads than the aluminator).
These engines can only take so much abuse. The guys that run them hard every weekend have them last 2 years tops before they scrap they're engines.

^I'm not arguing what Ford actually does, I'm just saying its bs. And you better believe Id at least call a lawyer to see if i have a case if they go on a mustang forum to deny warranty work.

Mitsubishi is the one who's known for doing that. A few years ago someone on another forum had an Aluminator 3v shortblock spin a bearing. FRPP sent a new shortblock without asking questions. They are the only company I'm aware of that hasn't argued and found a way to blame the user.

With that said I couldn't blame Ford one bit for denying a warranty claim that was the fault of the user. Things like an aftermarket tune causing detonation, a power adder breaking a rod, etc.

They all come with billet gears now.

????? Where do you get that info from? The GT500 pump has a billet backplate. Ford determined that flex in the pump was causing the gears to bind and that a slightly thicker billet backplate was the solution.

They were also adamant about it a year ago and admitted they didn't know whether the ones that were supposed have them did....many guys ripped there's apart to find they weren't in there. There's a thread on svtp that documents it pretty well.

You'd think when you're buying a crate motor that you'd get a build sheet with it. I asked about this and was told not available. A simple piece of paper with the engine serial # and parts list could eliminate these questions. I was shocked that the 2015 GT doesn't come with billet oil pump gears, yet I believe they come with forged internals.

According to frpp the new aluminator comes with the cj oil pump. Would be nice if they would ship everyone who bought an aluminator within the last year the new oil pump.

You called and talked to them? If so did you ask about the pump in general or the gears in particular?

I purchased a 2013 GT500 pump and disassembled it. Same gears as a stock 3v. Same housing too. The differences were in the pressure relief spring and billet backplate.
