This is a bit of a weird one, I have programmed key fobs for this vehicle and my wife purchased me a FOMOCO key fob, as I had issues with the cheap ones. I put the car into programming mode, cycle 8x times etc. old key fob programs no issues. FOMOCO key fob cycles locks like it has been programmed then boom. Nothing, no buttons work, nothing is different between the two besides the OEM not working. No horn etc. any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Trying to avoid a dealership. Phot attached is of the new key fob.

Where did you get the FOMOCO key fob from? That looks like an aftermarket reproduction. Aftermarket Fobs can be issues.

Key fob is purchased from www.ford.com, key fob was shipped from a local dealership to me. I have no clue what the issue could be. May have to go down there to get it working/ replaced. I couldn’t find anyone with the same issue.

You might want to consider calling a mobile locksmith which recodes key transponders.

Possibly a stupid suggestion but have you checked/replaced the battery in it? I know it's new but who knows if the one in it is still good.. or hell, does it even have one in it?

i got a dorman one from autozone about 3 yrs ago , programed fine and still works great,
so it being a ford one i think has little to do with it,
mhz is mhz in the bandwidth so it will read that signal regardless of who the makes it,, (it dont know who made it , only the transcoding signal to accept and command )
so id say either you are doing something wrong or a dead battery in the fob or a fluke one and id get another .
is the car battery good and fully charged and in good condition?
