Sitting in my favorite spot. Small woods where i have killed several nice bucks. Beautiful weather today.

Shot a decent 8 point and a nice doe Saturday morning. Also had a nice visit with the Missouri game warden as I walked bag to the jeep so I could field dress them. I was informed that I had four violations but was let go with warnings.
I was happy with it, took him at 190-200 yards with my 6.8 Noveske. I gave both deer to a disabled guy to help him fill his freezer so I think I'm going next weekend to get a doe for snack sticks.
My fiances neighbor found out one of his kids has Crohn's disease a few weeks back so me and her dad busted a couple doe's where her dad hunts and gave them to him since his budget is going to be alot tighter. Always makes you feel better to know your gonna help somebody out when they need it
Yeah it does, the guy wanted to pay for my tags but there was no chance of me accepting money for them. I just enjoy hunting and it helps the brother in law out by keeping the deer from eating the crops so it works out great for everyone.
Rut is coming on strong in KS. I went yesterday afternoon. Saw 9 bucks and 11 doe. Two of the bucks were shooters, just not in bow range. I live in the woods during deer season.
I've been a few times since opening season. Haven't shot yet though. I have been in a duck blind more than a deer stand so far. Waiting on a banded duck to land in my lap. Shot 24 on opening morning. Hope to get a doe on the ground this weekend.
Went to upstate NY last week...ended up with this instead of a deer. Bears amung coydog, coyotes, and bob cats have become an issue lately. The deer aren't quite in full rut in up in the woods yet. Near the Farmland's they have been for the past couple weeks so atleast they are moving. We did a few drives with several people and didn't move many. It was still a good time, just a long drive up there from FL.
