I just recently purchased my '11 Grabber Blue and wanted to give it a full detail. The paint wasn't completely neglected but had some swirl marks so I didn't want to use clay bar or any ultra cut compounds as I felt it would be a little overkill. This was my first "real" detail and am very ecstatic with the results.

I washed/dryed the car with Chemical guys Maxi-Sudds II
Applied Meguiar's SwirlX
Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish
Blackfire Wet Diamond

Let the car sit for 24 hours

Detailed with FK425 to clear some of the dust
Applied Blackfire Midnight Sun Carnauba Wax

I used my DA PC 7424 for everything except the Midnight Sun, in which I did by hand. Whole process took about 9 hours total. Figured I'd share my detailing experience with you guys.

You can really see how swirl-free the paint is, and how crisp and clear the garage light looks.

Will definitely post some more pictures in the daylight tomorrow.

Also, a big thanks to Seer and everyone else here at the s197 detailing community as you guys were helpful to all my questions and I wouldn't have the knowledge of detailing if it weren't for you guys.

Thanks guys, here's some pictures I took this afternoon, sun bleached the color a little bit on camera though. Pictures just don't do the shine justice.

That's what I said before I got into detailing. It's something you definitely need to have some motivation and patience for. But when it's all said and done, it's very well worth the time and money spent.

Very true! I applied some CG Black Light with the V7 Spray sealant by hand, wow amazing stuff. Need to get a porter tho, talk about a workout applying it to a black car! The CG stuff applies and comes off quite well. I wish i had a garage, only a carport for now. Luckily, work is not to far so there's a garage there...pictures really don't capture the shine when in person.

Yeah, As soon as my Blackfire product is empty I'm gonna order that Blacklight, Lava, and V7 combo.

I know how you feel man. Back when I first got my '05 GT I lived in an apartment for a while and it sucked. I basically gave up on keeping a sparkling car, every morning I came out it was just covered in pollen and dust. And you can't really Quick Detail it while the sun's heated it up all morning. I definitely don't take having a garage for granted.

Plans for any mods?

So Far my first mod is gonna be a Borla S-Type Exhaust. Havn't had the money this week to order it since the taxes on this car were $1,000 alone since I had bought it 2 weeks ago.

Other than that I'm gonna get a Steeda intake, Boss Manifold, some suspension tweeks, charcoal AMR wheels with Grabber Blue painted calipers. Havn't really decided who's tune to go with yet. So many mixed reviews but that Lund cam tune is really calling my name.
