so recently i bought a jlt with a diablo tuned the car for the jlt tune which was pre-installed on the device. long story short i want to take off the tune to use an sct tool as the guy i'm having the car tuned by only uses sct equipment which i prefer anyways. so we put the stock tune back on confirmed it and everything tuner said it was unlocked ect. that was a couple weeks ago. so last night i was over at the shop checking out the progress on the car what not as it was going to be the first start up with a quicky start up tune. so we were righting the start up tune to the pcm using the sct and it wouldn't run. so we put the stock tune back on and it fired up with some heavily modded parts on it. come to find out the diablo tune has ghosted on the pcm and we're unable to remove it. long story short i have to take a non running car have it towed to a dealer ship pay an arm and a leg to have it completely reflashed to stock and towed back.

moral of the story DO NOT FUCKING TOUCH ANY DIABLO TUNER THEY ARE PIECES OF SHIT AND NOT WORTH THEIR WEIGHT IN SHIT.

I thought you knew this already?!?!?!

i knew they had their issues ie deleting tunes randomly and what not but i didn't think they were as bad as they have treated me. anyways im going to give diablo a phone call tuesday and see what they have to say about the whole matter. it's obvious it's a tuner issue. the shop im going through went onto the sct dealer only forums posted the issues and they all have said the diablo tuner is the problem. not to mention its the only thing that has ever touched the pcm.

oh well you live and learn sometimes it's the hard way. i'm just rather pissed as hell at the whole matter.

If you goto "Performance tunes" under main menu and flash to stock, it will still be locked. You have to goto "options" and goto flash to stock and unlock predator tuner. You might need to upgrade your crom version to fix your issues.

Should've gone to a tuner.

that really wouldn't be very cost effective for a simple cai even ford offers a tuner with their 85mm cai kit.

the tuner is unlocked so i don't think that is an issue i had a shop that is doing the work on my car remove the tune, they are reputable adn have done this type of work before.

by crom i assume you are speaking of the "firmware" of the tuner. it has the latest version on there.

so far i've sent a few messages to a few people in order to solve this problem cause i really don't expect to have to pay for the ford dealership to revert it back to stock as it's an obvious tuner issue. and like i said before the shop i'm going through is an sct dealer and has talked to sct representative as well as other tuners on their dealer forums and everyone says basically the tune is still there as a "ghost tune" basically the tuner says its gone but obviously ins't.

When I went from SCT to Diablo, I also had to get my PCM flashed back to stock. Only cost me like $40, but that's because my tuner knows the guy that does them. So it wouldn't matter which one you use.

well from what i understand the only people that can do it are the people the either buy the tool from ford or a ford dealership.

Why not just use SD Mustang Accessories Tuner: ST Motorsports? They use both diablo and sct.

the shop thats installing the kit is also doing the tunning. i just didn't like the diablo from the get go in all honesty was never a fan of their products would have much rather and wish i had just gone with sct to begin with cause this whole problem would have been completely avoided. but thats what i get i guess for being an idiot.

someone else ->:asshat: < - me

anyways with the use of the all mighty search button seems my only choice i have is to go through stupid as stealership and have the car towed mutliplte times....this fucking blows this project has seriously doubled in cost now.

It is not diablosport blame, is Ford's.

Your tuner will get it running in no time now, no need to get it to the dealership. Trust me :hi:

he's tried everything, unless you know a trick we are stumped. we tried modifying the stock tuned it wouldn't start, tried applying one of the tunes that comes with the sct tuner program and it didn't work. the only tune that it start up with is an unmodified stock tune anything else and it wont start at all. i have 39# injectors and it'll run on the stock tune but its super rich and we don't want to foul up brand new hto's we put in the car. but i mean if you know how to fix it cause my tuner essentially gave up lets hear it.

This is probably a dumb question, but how did you put back the stock tune with the predator? What option did you use in the menu?
