so as ive been reading up on tuning my 13, ive decided not to go with SCT. while my XF3 worked fine on my 07, ive just seen to many hiccups with the 5.0s.

the intune looks impressive, but many aspects of the trinity are nice too. bigger display and configureable gauges. no aeroforce in the vent for me.

what id like to know is this; does the trinity do everything the intune does? the one thing that sells me on the IT is that you can data log so easily with it. is it the same process on the T?

maybe diablosport can chime in, as my search didnt come up with very many DS users on this board.

thanks!

Hey,

The if your main concern is data logging I'd really recommend going with a diablosport trinity. The ability to watch your PID's on the screen easily while you drive on the configurable display is really something that I find really helpful especially when your trying to figure out an issue.

If your interested in a trinity just let me know :)

got your PM, thank you sir!

ive been searching SVTP and seeing a lot of bricked ECUs, troubles switching between tunes ect. my SCT was great on my 07, but sounds like the copperhead is a little smarter and SCT doesnt run as smoothly with it.

According to Diablosport only the Trinity is available for the 13 Mustang. Are the SCT failures only happening on svtp? Keep in mind that most Mustang tuners don't do Diablo. I've heard the software described as clunky when compared to SCT but it's second hand information.

HP tuners is supposed to be up to speed on Mustangs now. Ever given them a thought?

been reading about tuners for 5.0s non stop. it does seem that the SCT issues are all due to a recent update. SCT seems be be working on it.

ill look into HP tuners. JPC/AMAZON/BAMA all tune CMR which is what as im sure you know is what diablosports writes tunes with. it is hard to pass up the laundry list of tuners that use SCT. i dunno, looks like ive got more reading to do.

I just cant believe that no one is really talking about the intune being able to be erased back to stock and ford not ever knowing you have a tune. I would think every person would be jumping in it like snookie after a few beers

interesting you mention this...it appears that the "footprint" issue is highly overblown. it appears that neither leaves a trace. there is a massive thread on SVTP about it.

after doing husbandly duties i got back to my research. bruce maybe right(as always) i think the SCT iTSX may be more of what i need/want.

Whichever tuner you decide to go with, it is critical that you have proper vehicle battery voltage before changing any ECU software. Use a battery charger and you will avoid many problems. While some of the issues people have had with the SCT may have been firmware related, I'd bet many were because of poor onboard power supply.

I do software programming everyday as a Mercedes tech and this is taken very seriously because our control units are so damn expensive.
