Has anyone from BBR made an effort to reply to this thread? I don't see a repy but may have missed it, just curious as to what they would have to say.

I saw alot of positive review for BBR in the past and even thought about getting Cams and tune from them but after this thread all of that is out the window. It's very sad to see that the company doesn't even care.

+1 man. no way are they ever seeing a dime of mine

this is all theyve said in the entire thread on page 2

Josh,

First thing I would like to say is I am sorry. As stated in our emails and phone calls, I did try to see what could be done to help you since our first conversation. Your set up is something we have tuned many times. But, tunes do need adjustments from time to time. I also explained to you that because your kit is a used system and Procharger has made a few different revisions to their kits with MAF locations, it may also need to be adjusted. You agreed to this when I said it may need a datalog after the first tune is sent. This is why livelink is a great product that everyone can use. Your first set up datalogs were showing us that your front 02 sensors were not reading correctly. As explained over the phone by Chris and myself, you seemed okay and worked with us. Chris sent a configuration for livelink and then had you send the information that he requested. This then showed your front 02s working. With that datalog, it showed you were about 10% to rich. Corrections were made and a new tune was sent out in a timely manner.(about 48 hrs) At this time, you notified us you were taking it to a dyno.

After this, I informed you that we would give you a full store credit for the amount you were charged. We did offer you our service and did what we could to help you. Because of our store policy, we do not refund mail order tunes. In this case, because I wanted you to enjoy your car, this was what we could do. I have enjoyed talking to you and you are very nice person.

Steve made a single reply IIRC on one of the first pages.

I saw this thread a while back and figured they would come in and take care of it, but seeing as though they haven't I had to comment. Chris tuned my Auto '07 Turbo car a couple years back and I had tons of issues with the car trans was overheating, wouldn't shift right of course, car wouldn't cold start for anything and he did work with me to try and get it figured out, but never did. I ended up taking the car to Justin @ VMP who told me there were multiple issues with Chris' tune after 2 pulls on Justin's dyno the car made good power 440/470 Auto @ 7psi and ran flawlessly. I gave BBR a call just to let them know what I had found explained the issues and everything to them and I was told Chris would call me back... No such luck!

Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do. Chalk it up as a loss and treat them as such. If 1 out of every 100 customer's has an experience like ours the sad part is more people will hear about that and in knowing that you'd think they'd want to clear the air.

+1, also they are involved in allot of things and other forums. But they need to take the time to work harder on cases like this..

I think Steve is starting to post over on MM under the username Gamble. I wonder when he is going to start yelling about how great BBR is...

I was trying to leave this between you and Steve, but enough is enough.

We have gone back and forth with you and offered you a store credit for the amount that you purchased the tune for. This being said, you said NO. NO WAY and then attempted to do a charge back with your credit card / debit card company. Which due to the fact that it states clearly on the invoice that tuning is a service not a product, the company denied your claim.

So we did try to work with you, we offered you a credit for the complete amount, you said you had nothing left to buy for your car...and now you come on here stating that we never worked with you or attempted to contact you? WOW! I do recall Steve actually on the phone with you at 8PM at night, while you just happened to be out at dinner...and your response to him was fix it or "let the bashing begin." as stated by you on an e-mail that I would have no problem posting up for you to see.

I know that in this industry that you can't make everyone happy. It's impossible. But there is absolutely no reason to LIE about your problem to get sympathy and to try and attack a company b/c things didn't go exactly as you planned.

I wish I could say that the performance industry is perfect...but it's not. It's far from perfect and everyone's vehicle is different. There is no GOD of tuning. Every tuner has run into a problematic car from time to time. I'm sorry that yours just happened to be one of them.

I don't understand the credit. All the bullshit aside. If you couldn't tune it why not give the money back? It was a service you couldn't provide for that particular car. A car comes in for a diagnose and I can't figure it out, I don't charge them for the time I spent and failed. Cut your losses, apologize and move to the next one.

John - pretty sure he was refering to the period of time between that first go around (when he posted this thread) and that post on the 13th of March. That no one from BBR reached out to try and settle it in that time period.

I dont know why but when I read Johns post when it got to "enough is enough" all I could think of was Samuel L Jackson in snakes on a plane hahahahaha.

And I'm with CPR, I dont see why a refund couldnt have just been issued.

it was a service that was still being worked on. We sent him a revision and he stated that he wanted to wait until he got it on a dyno... which he did. He brought it to the dyno facility and the tuner from that shop actually called us with a few questions b/c the start up MAF count that he even had for this same exact kit was so far off. It ends up that even the tuner at the dyno facility spent a few hours trying to dial in the MAF on this car b/c something was not right. It wasn't so much that our tune was off, it was something installed incorrectly on the car, which was fixed by the dyno shop he brought the car to.

We were dealing with him from day one. Back and forth through phone calls and e-mails. I know for a fact b/c I spoke with him in order to transfer him to Steve. This went on for some time. Then we got a fax for a charge back and we then stopped working with him since it was a claim case. That went on for a few days and the CC company did their investigation. We forwarded them all the info from e-mails and invoices. They deemed it a service and rejected his claim. So he's obviously upset... I'm sure anyone would be. But to say that we didn't offer to help is pure B.S. We did help and he cut our help off before it was complete.

Personally I would have been happy with a store credit if it were me. There are a ton of places that will only do store credit. The way I see it is the company is simply trying to make it not a total loss while the customer gets to spend the full amount of money on other things that most customers might buy anyway.
