Good call, it's a fucking joke anyways. What mufflers are you going to be using?

Right now I have the SLP muffler deletes and I still have the factory resonators. I'm curious to see how loud it will be with the cats gone, I'm hoping the resonators will tone it down a bit.

It's going to be ridiculous. I have the Roush axlebacks which are a bit quiter than the SLPs and it's ridiculous by most normal definitions.

Kept cats. BBK shorty to BBK catted X to Borla Cat back with mellow can (11752). I'll post up sound when it's together.

How many guys notice a gas smell with no cats and after tuned?

Anyone try the new stainless mid-pipes from Lethal/JBA that have removable cat delete sections?

They might be a good solution for the price. If it's too loud, swap the factory cats back in.

I'd like to hear in there's any fittment/leak issues with them first though.

Your gonna have the gas smell, but I don't think it is that bad.

Question(s) ?

(1) Has anyone tried the delete muffler set up with an O/R X pipe? (I am interested in what it might sound like)
(2) True X-pipe vs non true, is there really a difference.
(3) Brand, is there a best, better opinion. Meaning is it worth to spend less on a x-pipe like UPR's or Bbk verus spending more on a Magnaflow.. Etc. (referring to the x-pipe)

Thanks in advanced, I didn't want to start another exhaust thread, Did not mean to hijack this thread.

debating about deleting them on my 2013 car but ill probably just cut the resonators off this time, o/r h and gt500 axle backs sounds awesome but i live in prima donna land with crabby suburban wives who complain their child gets awake too early by me

For after-cat X's I've read the most complaints about the FRPP. These are making me consider the Corsa version, which is more money, but fittment is supposed to be good and it includes the clamps.

These along with the even more expensive JPC are the only choices that keep everything 2 3/4" which appeals to me.

The others seem alright. Some reviews on the AM site.

Same here. I have a Dynatech longtubes to an O/R X-pipe / Borla S-Type Catback and I'm the loudest car on the track. Now, credit to Borla because the car is nice a quiet at highway speeds, but get it over 2500rpm and it starts to howl.
You can sort of hear hear it on this vid. Notice the dyno tech plugging his ears.
that looks fun

cats and cat back?

I just put on a flowmaster 3 inch cat back system on my '12 Gt and now i wanna get rid of the cats. I know the cat delete pipes wont work because of the 3 inch pipes on the cat back system. My question is, whats the best way of removing the cats short of buying $750 headers?

About 4 hours, couple large drill bits, chisels, and liberal use of the F word should do the trick. I removed the media from mine but it was a SOB.
