Does the S197 share the same bolt pattern as the new S550?

I asked a company that sells wheels, and he asked what was a S197?

Generally, will the larger sizes (in V-8's) swap?

IIRC, the bolt pattern is the same, the backspace and offsets are different.

Bolt pattern is the same at 5x114.3mm or 5x4.5"
S550 studs are 14mm
S197 and older studs are 1/2"

Use the proper lugnuts for your application and the wills will fit no problem. I run GT350 wheels on my s197. 19x10 front 19x11 rear.

Very very nice. I'd like to see a picture of your car?

To be clear and offer forward tech, the older S197 has the 1/2" stud bolt size? It will need a 1/2" lug nut?

The S550 changed to a 14mm stud bolt. It will need a a 14mm lug nut. OK?

Yet, the old S197 wheels will match with the same spindle to wheel pattern? So, a S197 spindle with accept a S550 wheel as long as the lug nut is the same size? The lug can be torqued down in the same way?

I think that looking at my S197 and S550 that the S550 has a wider fender lip? So, the S550 will accept at a slightly bigger wheel than the S197?

I have not tried this myself since both cars are parked in different locations.

I have an 07 Convertible GT. I installed Ford 20" rims and tires off a 2015 GT (see pic). I used my same lugs from the 07 and it all worked fine. I can still drop her if I decide. You should have no issues.20190805_180756.jpg
