Don's Challenge Has Been Done!

Well, I finally did it...kinda. The only issue is that my car has the spidershaft, but..BUT, I also have 20" Saleens on my car. This is up to Don, but I believe the 20's offset the driveset and then some. Here is my slip, bone stock (almost) mustang with only FI....11.86!

Wow, a 11.86 with only a 1.92 60' time. That is pretty good, not many in the 11's on street tires. That mph is good for low 11's.

A guy did get a video, but its from inside his car, so it doesn't show times. Irishman knows the guy, so i'll see if he can get it for me. The one from in his car was a 11.98 run, no video of my 11.86. I need to get my damn camcorder fixed and bring my helmet cam...lol.

My car weighed 3920...lmfao. This thing is a pig! Now that i've hit 11's, i'm gonna look at doing some suspension and slicks and really see what it can do. Some day i'll hit a dyno and see what it is putting down. Hopefully this winter i'll be able to do the bottom end. I'll only get one run after I do the lower end, because the tech will boot my arse out for no cage or fire suit. He wasn't real happy I was there last night as it is.

And stock tires, too... haha. That was the original challenge... 100% bone stock except for SC.

So, its 3700 w/o driver. That's not too bad. Mine is 3550 w/o driver in track trim.

Its nothing wrong with the shaft, it is that the original Don challenge was to get into the 11s with stock everything except blower...

Yeah, no problems with my spydershaft at all. Very little vibration at 65-75mph, other than that sweet product! I did notice that my rearend is twisting so bad that it looks like the knuckle on the rear of the shaft was hitting against itself... Time to get some lca's and uca, but now I have to track down some damn tires and put my stock shaft back on for this challenge...lol. URSOSLOW should be able to get the challenge done too, he was at the track and has a KB on his car but still needs to run with the higher boost and new tune. Before his added boost and tune, he ran a 12.21 last week, so he's knocking on the door also.
