DOT4 Brake Fluid

Which High Temp brake fluid are you guys using?

Motul RBF500, hasn't boiled over yet and I dont think it ever will. Little pricy though

Castrol SRF - expensive but good stuff.

I like the ATE type 200 gold. Really good stuff!

Thank you for the responses. I had to go with the Valvoline Synpower, only thing available around these parts without ordering in. 503F dbp should work. If it does not I will purge the system again and order in.

I would recommend not using the valvoline.

The only reason I say this is I just changed out my clutch and in the instructions it says not to use a synthetic fluid. " it has been know to cause leaking in the stock throwout assembly".

When I get home I can post the exact verbage they used. but that is the jist of it

As long as it is a GLYCOL based brake fluid it is fine. DOT 3&4 are the same thing (Im pretty sure they dont even make DOT 3 anymore, they just label it that way to avoid confusion).

DOT 5 is silicone based (this is a no no in our cars) There are DOT 5.1's that are glycol based and are ok.

Stick with a good DOT3/4 like RBF600 Factory Line or ATE.

The others like castrol or valvoline are fine too but not like the RBF or ATE
