I haven't been here for a while and would like some reccomendations for some tires for strictly racing. I have a 5 speed with 525 RWHP and 18x10 wheels and simply smoke my 305/40 M/T ET radials.
Thanks in advance!!!

Get ya a set of MT 28x10.5x15 stiff sidewall.
Yes I know it takes a different rim but you will hook solid on those.

Have you tried them? I am thinking that radials don't cut it!!

With your power, you need the slicks to cut the best 60' and to hook.
It is that simple.
You can still hook on the dr's but not as good as a slick is gonna get you. You'll see,I would say 2-3 tenths over the 2 atleast with your power.

id try the 18" dr's from m/h if i were you. 325/40r18's
i run the m/h dr's on 17" rims and have no problems hooking and that launching off the line with the nitrous at 420rwhp/523rwtq you have a lot more hp than me but maybe less torque?? i pulled 1.55 60's off the tires

I have some 15's and I use a 5/16" spacer that works perfectly. I was able to get around having to use longer wheel studs. The rims that I have, have apretty thick flange so I took them to a machine shop and had them "counter sunk" about a 1/4" deeper. The countersink is a 60 degree included angle which is about what the lug nuts are tapered at. I saw where someone on here used some early 2k Explorer rims so that is what I got from a salvage yard for $30 each and they work great after counter sinking deeper
