UPDATE 4/4/14

Got the new mufflers on and the exhaust all fitted up. Went together quite well.

Won't be able to tune until probably Thursday of next week, but it runs well for normal driving.

Still gotta track down the temp sensor problem. It's definitely electrical, as it was working off and on yesterday.

UPDATE 4/9/14

Fixed the temp sensor issue, as well as some fuel issues.

All the little problems are now solved. No check engine, no codes, oil level is stable, all fluids are good. Everything checks out.

Dyno is scheduled for Saturday morning!

And the problem was?

Bad wiring connections.

The temp sensor is an issue I dealt with before and the connections I made had just come loose. Bad crimp connectors. Ordered the nice ones this time instead of going to autozone.

The fuel issues were also electrical. Basically intermittent and no signal to and from the fuel rail pressure sensor.

The connectors are not soldered from the factory, they're crimped. As long as you don't use some cheese-dick crimper you're good.

True.

They're crimped by a giant machine though.

Any way you cut it, a little solder never hurts.

Yeah it never hurts but sometimes isn't worth the trouble.

Cheese-dick crimper shown here. These just typically smash the connector, not in a good way.

Here's a better quality crimper...

And here's a crimp from a quality crimper.

I hear that. Everything was crimps at the audio video store I was at. That was with a quality set of crimpers though.

UPDATE 4/12/14

Dyno tuning is done! It went really well and I'm quite happy with the results. I had it done with Dewayne in Hennessey Oklahoma. He came recommended from my engine builder.

Here's a video of the highest run I had:

Here's a pic of the dyno sheet:

His dyno numbers are low, though I'm not sure why exactly. I was told his dyno is a "true" dyno and isn't trumped up or anything like that. It's electronically loaded though, so it could be out of calibration. I'm not really concerned with a number; the car feels a hell of a lot better, and the tune is pretty safe right now.

The car idles much better as well, even with the huge cams I'm running. Dewayne did a fantastic job ironing out all the little details and not just putting up a big number and calling it good. We spent at least four hours after the WOT runs working on the idle and trim. I got 31mpg on my drive home at 81mph, which is an awesome little bonus hahaha.

You realize he did the pull in third gear right????

Yes?

He said it would make about 7% more as a number in fourth, but it would be a longer, harder pull. Especially without the benefit of the ram air. Third gear in my car was about 120mph, so IATs would suffer.

And he's manning the computer giving the signal lol. He let me do the driving hehe.
