dyno question???

had my car dyno'ed yesterday and I am tring to understand what the STD 1.03 means? on my dyno from 2 years ago in the same area it says SAE .95. some one explain these letters and numbers???? and STD doesnt mean anything sexual perv's

i believe one of them is a correction factor for temp/humidity so if everyone gets STD numbers they will be more comparable. more of a dyno standard i guess.

They are correction factors based on temp, humidity, and barometric pressure. In a nutshell sae will give lower numbers because it's corrected to less forgiving test conditions, 78 degrees f. IIRC.

Your actual numbers were multiplied by the correction factor to obtain the corrected numbers.

A google search will yield lots of reading material on the subject.
