Dyno with Mutha Thumpas

Finally dynoed my car. Made terrible numbers. I finally got the dyno graph emailed to me and it's looking very weird. If you notice there is a drop at about 3300 RPM's, it is also very up and down throughout the pulls. He did cut it at 6400 because as you can see it's running lean. This is a Bama tune....is this all in the tune?

I had pretty identical mods as you except I had hotrods and made 340 before install of my 4.10s. I think the tune is the only culprit here imo

From what I read, Bama runs a bit conservative on there tunes. Supposedly brenspeeds are a bit more aggressive. I am currently running a Bama tune with the mods in my sig. Made just over 320/320

Interested to see the numbers after a legit tune. I had mutha thumprs as well and only made 325/325 with longtubes, jlt 110 intake, and delete plates. The afr was like 10.8 on a BAMA tune so I always wondered what hp I would be at with a nice dyno tune.

I was at 335 rwhp with mutha thumps, deletes, pullies, l/t to o/r h and catback, and C@L intake and that was on a brenspeed dyno tune on 06 GT so about in the same ballpark as rest.

Main difference I saw between tuners, ( Bama, Brenspeed and Lund ) was driveability of each.

What afr was it? hard to tell by the graph.
Looks like 13 or so, which is not incredibly lean, in my logs it looks like bama targets 12.6-12.7 for afr.

Ideal is 12.8 or so. It was going between 13.5 and 14.0.

The plugs have less than 10k miles. It was dynoed at Motiva Performance here, I'm sure it was calibrated correctly. They actually have one of nicest dyno setups I have seen. Two new in ground dyno's.

No idea, I haven't datalogged it myself seeing as it's going to get tuned next week. From what I have seen mod motors don't like running lean at all, I am almost wondering if it didn't pull timing top end because of it being so lean.

Hemilol ran 300/300 with hot rods and a bama tune. Not sure if he had long tubes or not at the time. This was on a Mustang that was calibrated to simulate a dynojet during a dyno day gathering.

These cams have a habit of being rough to tune. My tuner did a lot of work with cam angle in the lower rpm because spark/fuel wasn't producing the results. My current mods yield me 360/320 with the mutha thumprs. The lower rpms (3500 on down) need a good bit of detailed tuning to get right. The LSA on these cam's make them very fussy if not rev'd high.

No N/A cam works well with nitrous by nature lol. N/A cams with tight LSA's breathe for high rpm powerbands, and unfortunately you lose nitrous out the exhaust just like you would boost if you were FI. However I have to say they work quite well with nitrous in my opinion. Sadly I never finished my nitrous system before I got a deal on a D1 kit, so I never got to spray on the new setup. Been very tempted to go down the dark path again, but I think the procharger will be better for the motor than what I had in mind with nitrous lol.

With these cams, fear not and spray more. Most if it will go out the exhaust anyway! Makes for awesome fireballs between shifts lol.
