I'm still somewhat of a newbie to these 05+ cars so I have a couple questions about suspension.

I can not stand the ride height of these things stock. It's like a little F150. lol I just ordered a set of the Eibach ProKit springs. I've heard good things about them and love the way the car's stance is with them.

Will I need to upgrade my shocks/struts with these springs, or I guess the better question is, should I upgrade them? If not, will the factory shocks/struts be ok to use with them?

The next question I have is how hard is the install of the springs? I have looked around on some of the forums but haven't found a good "how-to" thread about it.

Thanks guys/gals! Don't be rough... I'm new! lol

I'm pretty sure all that you need to do is get an adjustable panhard bar at the same time you lower it.

Welcome... Ride quality after lowering is about as subjective as exhaust sound. You don't need to change out the struts/shocks, there have been lots of folks that have used stockers with lowering springs. However, the emerging consensus is that ride quality and performance are enhanced with new struts/shocks (even with stock springs). D-Specs or Koni's are ajustable and seem to be the choice for most. there is no need to upgrade the shocks. I have the stock shocks with Steeda sport springs. As I understand it, the shocks will likely not last as long with the lowered springs compared to stock springs. the tokico's will give you more flexibility and a better ride from what I understand. however the stockers ride fine IMO

Thanks a bunch guys. I might throw the springs on with the stock shocks/struts to see how bad it is and then worry about getting aftermarkets later.

What about alignment and caster/camber plates?

If you have the money, you might as well upgrade it, since you'll have the struts out anyways. If you don't, then don't worry about it for now. It won't ride as nice as it would with different shocks/struts, but it'll be ok. You definitely need an adjustable panhard bar. Most people find that camber adjustment is not needed. Mine was all within spec still, though they adjusted the caster slightly, no extra parts were needed and no slotting of anything either. The Pro Kit gives the best stance while still maintaining full driveability, IMO.

H&R supersports and tokico D specs with J&M strut plates is all you need.

And to elaborate more, if your going to bother changing it out you might as well go for the good aggressive springs and shocks/struts, as your stockers aren't that bad, just in high stress situations I can definitely say they are lacking.

It will ride fine without aftermarket struts and shocks, though if you want more versatility it will help to upgrade them. What you SHOULD do though is replace the upper strut mounts... well... yours being new you might be able to get by without that.

Alignment and camber wise, get an adjustable panhard bar to recenter the rear, camber bolts for the front. That should fix everything.
