I'm looking to get a hold of some cut outs, but I can't figure out where I'd put them ( off the stock header or after the h pipe ) or which brand is the most reputable for the electronic ones.

Not sure if this is the right section for this but I haven't been able to find much information on this subject anywhere.

Thanks in advance

Well this isn't tech. So no it's not in the right spot. Generally if you have to ask if its tech it probably isn't. I'd install the directly behind the front o2 sensors.
QTP's are a good brand.

You're not going to gain shit by putting them right at the collectors on these cars.
I plan on putting them right on the turn to the "H"

But your best bet is after the H.

I thought they were supposed to go right after the headers? Maybe I'm wrong.

Thanks for the help

will electric cutouts be able to withstand the head from the header if you shove it right behind the oem header?

I had them right after the collector and it really felt like I lost power.
You have to tune the length of the collector to gain power.

I have mine right at the end of my downpipe before it hooks to part that goes back to my dual exhaust. It's great to ride around closed and when I want to get on it...flip the switch and it opens up my 3" and the turbo faster and louder....fun!

My QTP low profiles. This is a great place to mount them on the Pypes H pipe.

How do you like those QTP's? How long have you had them?

I think this winter it will be two years. I love them. Never had an issue with them and I open and close them a few times whenever I drive the car. I mounted the toggle switch coming out from the side of the console just below the e brake handle. Push forward to open, pull back to close.

Awesome, thanks for the info. I'll probably be picking up a set come tax return time.

Enjoy. Summit Racing had the best price on them I could find at the time. And they are usually in stock.

Looks clean, also will warm those rear axles and the housing up as weld prep.

Super nice fab job.

I wish there were good cheap mufflers that worked on these 4.6 cars. I'd settle for that. Instead we get trombone and the brass section, or brutally loud, or too quiet.

Belive cut outs are the best solution for all drive. Loud on the track , and silent on the freeway :)
