Yeah but come on.. your not factoring other cost..LOL.. the hours of labor youve spent figuring what the hell!!! the gas runs back and forth to post office, parts.. time on the phone etc. .

Im know its comparing apples to oranges but Mike@PH had no problems with todds and he had built it off "a in house" 5.4 3v and so did MMR.. WHATS THERE EXCUSE for it being so outta whack " fabircator was off for the weekend and this was done by there fill in guy" .. hell just reading it is ticking me off..

Thats why Ive stuck with JOSH and KEVIN @ PMP cause i get the truth , honesty and all recommendations from them and none have failed me yet. GRRR..... damn chris why'd you have to mention this LOL... got me all riled up over here..

+1 on PMP, they will give you the truth no matter what, but in the long run it saves you $$ vs giving you the run around.

Did you ever get to the bottom of your P0690 issue? I have the same problem with my car now (basically stock compared to yours!) and all the trouble shooting I have done points to a problem internal to the ECM.

For some reason, I REALLY want to avoid replacing that unless I KNOW that will fix the stalling problem!

Mine was simply because I had the wrong alternator. Specifically, the wrong regulator on the alternator. If you're mostly stock, you shouldn't be having that code. Sounds like a faulty regulator. If you're under warranty, get your alternator swapped.

Yup. MMR's putting it back together for me. But it really had nothing to do with the code. The P0690 went away when I got the correct alt in there.

That's interesting. Checking for AC being dumped onto the battery during the stall event was one of the tests I ran. The worse I saw (with a Fluke 87 in min/max recording mode) was .25VAC and that "spike" happened when I was backing out of the garage and let the rpm drop to 600 rpm (which makes sense, as the filter circuit is sized for higher frequencies and isn't as effective at lower frequencies). I reset it and the worse I saw was around 50 mVAC. It didn't change when the car stalled.

Oh, and I forget to mention that the voltage was DEAD solid. I think the low (after the car was started and backed out of the garage) was 13.85VDC and the high was 14.02VDC. That is TIGHT regulation!
