Don Fezell continues to break records with his 2008 Cobra Jet stock eliminator car. This weekend during a NHRA event at Z max North Carolina, Don ran an [email protected] which is a new NHRA record for stock eliminator cars! The format of Don's class was changed because of the fast ET's all the Cobra Jet competitors were running so now they are grouped together for a format with the rules a little more open. We have since made some weight changes and suspension modifications to get the car to ET better from last years combination which ran 9.2's. Obviously with his first outting in Georgia going 9.0's we knew the 8 sec pass was in the car. Now Don's car is still overweight by nearly 100lbs! Also weather and better conditions will follow this season and we except the car to run a few 10ths faster! Also Don's 60 foot time was a 1.33 and the car is capable of 1.2X 60 foots so it should pick up when the traction comes around too!

For those of you who aren't familiar with the Stock Eliminator specifics this car is running the TVS 2300 blower with a stock upper pulley and a Cobra JET 10% balancer. The motor is our custom spec Cobra Jet racing 5.4 Aluminum engine. Stock heads, Custom JDM NHRA spec legal cams and spring package. It has a set of custom Kooks Cobra JET headers, we were also able to add the Aeromotive fuel system to the car due to the class change. Don's CJ makes over 800 RWHP on our dyno and has the ET's to prove it!

Just wanted to share this info and piece of history with everyone in the community.

Thanks,
Jim D'Amore III
