First Passes on new Turbo setup

Unlike popular belief you don't need a small shot of nitrous to help with spool - if your tuner is knowledgable he will pour timing on the down low - you can use timing just like nitrous and since it's a low load at the lower RPM it can take more - that's how I got my 12.2 car down to running a 10.66 with just givin it timing on the down low getting my 60ft down - If I would have kept picking at the tune I assume it would have went a 10.40

Exactly, combined with keeping that load for longer than 1.5-.6 seconds with a higher gear.

How is Sac for a track? I am thinking of going up there for the Oct 12th race.

Track was killer last night only got in 3 passes. First pass and first time actually driving the car myself, didn't launch it hard run a 10.4 @ 139 with a 1.88 60ft, 2nd run left a little harder and cut a 1.77 60ft run a 10.16 @ 139, hit all the shift about right (didn't hit rev limiter), last run launched the car pretty hard, but hit the rev limiter so hard going from first to second and then again from 2nd to 3rd blew the fuel pressure senor up, but I did managed to cut a 1.49 60ft. if I would have had my shit together that would have been deep into the 9's. Fixing car and bring an extra senor going again tonight.

As for the gearing questions, I think the car is geared fine, the turbo is having zero issues spooling, at the top of the track the rpm is a little higher than we would like so we will go with a little taller tire, it should be fine.

And everyone with the gear talks are obviously experts...I want to see your fastest time slip...you can read and feel like an expert but it's nothing close to doing - I agree with the taller tires like sac town said, but he is the one driving - if he thinks the gears are right then they are right

Good, ets---mph indicate power for 9.40s. Curious though of why you only see a 26mph increase on the back half. Typical for cars in this ET range is 30 mph.

the car is running out of gear right at the top end of the track, going to change to either a 29" or 30" tall tire, running a 28" now.

Paul, are you still planning to come up here on sat? maybe we(steve, nick, me and who ever else) can all hook up at the track. I'm in the middle of recovery from knee surgery so I wont be able to bring the syt to smoke you both out....in... the... damn... 9s... but anyway I would like to meet up and maybe hit some pizza and beer after.

Steve we can hit that cool pizza place close by.. fat tonys or something. Roper used to take me there before he stabbed me in the back.

This Saturday the track is rented for a private event, next Saturday is Grudge I will be there for sure.
