First Time Award Winner - X 2

Well, I have been putting vehicles of mine (Mustangs and Jeeps) in shows since 2007. Yesterday was that first time I ever won anything... and I won 2 awards.

My wife Lindsay and I took our two 2013 Mustangs to the Mustang Club of America's "Mustang and All Fords" car show. We rolled in a few cars deep with a shop we were supporting. Both of my cars tied for third place in the s197 class (2005 - 2014).

I know its not a huge deal, but after all these years, I'm pretty excited and wanted to share with you guys. I am going to pop a couple of pics of the two cars up in this thread later tonight... but for now I figured a few blackberry shots would act as a place holder. LOL

The first two pics are from before we left my buddies shop. Mine and my wife's are the two black ones on the left below.

LOL. My wife's car has a bunch of aftermarket bolt-on stuff on the inside and outside. I wasn't so surprised about hers, but I was actually shocked about mine. Especially since it was by popular vote.

Mine is a lightly modified GT Premium with a 401a package, NAV w/DZ Climate, a Modern Billet shift knob, a GT500 grill, Raxiom CS Style lights, JLT CAI and Flowmaster Outlaws. Really pretty basic stuff. There were a lot of heavily modded S197's there.

I think the thing that got me the tie with Lindsay is my paint. I did a banging buff and polish job on hers a few weeks ago, but I had just done mine. Just about everyone that talked to me about the car said that the black looked amazing and how hard it must be to keep it looking good. Two people asked me if it was original Ford black because it looks so much different than the other black cars that were there.
