Hmm, if I set up a go fund me page to buy a 1995 BMW M3 will you all donate? I mean I deserve a BMW M3 but my wife won't let me buy another car, but if it was donated to me she would have to let me have it right? And you all could feel good about helping a non-wounded war vet get a M3 to tinker on and drive. Win win for everyone right?

Ahh those precious 4 words I hate to hear "Wife won't let me" :blah:

LOL I can see her point considering where we live. I HATE town house condo etc. living. our driveway barly has enough room for my truck and her car. I park the mustang in the community parking lot by the pool. I shoe horn the mustang into the garage in winter, and it is only a single car garage, and hardly that as can fit the car in but can't really open the doors. We can't move out of this place soon enough for me.

There are two things you NEVER buy for your wife.

1. Tits.

2. Education.

Trust me on this.

I'd never want fake tits on my wife.
Fake tits in general kind of turn me off.

What about an 8000$ wedding ring? I can't believe how much some people blow on jewelry. Biggest scam ever.

Have a coworker who sold 2 mid 80s chevy trucks, and still spent money out of pocket on the ring he bought. Was near 15k he said when all was said and done. Never would I spend that on something so easily lost or stolen.

Jewelry is worth about 25% what you pay for it if you ever go to try and sell it to another jeweler. If you go private sale you might get half if you're lucky. Complete and total ripoff.

You mean like a down payment on a house?
That, a car, a fence, new furniture etc... damn shame.
So glad my fiance is on the same level, she is always like WTF WHY? if she hears people paying 10k+ for a ring.

Mines the same way. Spent about 1000 on both our rings. Figured it was better to spend more on the honeymoon.

If someone really wants bling bullion is a far better way to get it than paying insane markups for jewelry.

I agree. I paid about 1k for mine and my ex-wife's rings 7 years ago and glad I did when we divorced last year. We spent more on the honey moon and our home instead of stones. 15k in my book now would go towards a house or paying off my last student loan and being free of that debt.

I wish I could get away with that though!
Don't get me wrong I dropped some change on it, but definitely did not have to sell anything or miss any meals LOL still fuckin overpriced.

Yeah I dropped some coin on my wife's, but I went in educated about the markups on jewelry. (2 previous marriages). Lol got much more for my $$ knowing that there anywhere from 65-150% mark up on quality jewelry. It's like buying a car! Except much more markup.

My wife's stepmom worked with and was tight with the owner of several pawn shops here in Sin City. When we decided to get married she wanted to pick out a stone and have it put in a setting of her choice. She picked out a nice pebble with a nice cut and picks out a setting with the two ring thing and a bunch of smaller diamonds. Anyways I picked it up and paid just under $700 for it. It would have detailed around $1600-$2000. Many moons later when we are moving we are going through a bunch of junk and she came across the receipt. She got all bent because that was all I spent. Lol. She picked whatever she wanted and I just paid for it. How could she be mad at me? She figured out a way I guess.
