Fog lights install into 2005 V6 car without them

So I am absolutely new here, not so new to Mustangs over the years. Most recently had a '66 289 4spd car.

Picked up an '05 V6 5-speed, for something kinda economical but to also teach the kid how to drive a stick shift in something I'm not too worried if he tears it up a little.

Ran the search function on the site, can't seem to find any clear-cut information on what I want to do.

Car doesn't have fog lights. Want to add them, as factory as possible, including using the factory (or factory-style) switch, so that when the car is off and the lights are off, the fogs are off. I'd prefer not to hack up the factory wiring harness.

Found a couple grille kits online like the AmericanMuscle halo style ones, but the install looks like it presumes you already have fog lights and are replacing them. But I've also read that if the car didn't come from the factory with fogs, the wiring isn't there. Which is a bit of a problem.

Now, overall I don't really care if the fogs stay on with the brights or not, I wouldn't mind if any time the headlights were on the fogs were on, but I want them OFF when the headlights/running lights are off. But it's my kid's car, I don't want to create issues for him just to make it 'look cool.' (I once had a '99 Firebird that the PO had done a conversion so when the brights were on, all 4 headlight bulbs were on, and I had to re-do the wiring twice because it failed).

I'd like it to be an economical package. I like the AmericanMuscle ones here but not sure how to go about the wiring, since it sounds like there's no wiring currently existing.

Anyone done this before? How did you go about it? Anybody know of some good threads/how-tos on it? As much as I dislike the idea can I just grab power from the low beams? Or will that be too much amp draw?

On my V6 I used a hole saw on the grille and added generic halo lamps from Amazon.
I made brackets to secure them and wired relays to light them, using the yellow halos as turn signals. It was inexpensive, relatively easy, and looked great.

Now that I'm prepping it to sell, I found a Pony package grille and installed it, but so far it is not wired in.

For my 2007, I purchased a grill, LED bulbs, and a wiring kit on eBay. The wiring kit came with all the wiring, a relay, and an on/off switch that I installed in the cabin. Another option was to replace the headlight switch with one from a GT- V8 to control the headlights and the fogs. It was easier for me to install the included switch. Good luck.

I just installed an OEM Pony Package grille on my 2005 V6 base model yesterday. It was pretty much plug and play, even though it wasn't cheap. Since it's an OEM grille, everything fits correctly, and my factory fog light switch works just like it does on any Mustang that originally came with fog lights. The whole installation only took about 30 minutes.

I'd avoid the aftermarket fog light grilles—they just don't look as good as the OEM Pony Package grille.
