Cool, yeah my good friend from high school worked for Randy Haywood at Bigwood racing until they went under.

I've been told that is a SBF "pushrod" engine can you confirm it is a Modular.

Caleb runs a 347 pushrod with an 88mm turbo here locally. I see the Fastlane crew out at Dunn-Benson often, good group of guys at that shop.

I'm almost certain Randy works at National Speed in Wilmington now, that's what I heard. Eric (squirrel) from Bigwood works over at PCM.

Eric and Bobby are good people. I cruised down to dragging rights with Bobby and his dad not too long ago. Bobby was pushing about 550 hp through a stock bottom end 2v for a while until he had a oil pump failure. He said he was dropping in a twin turbo 5.4 in his vert soon. I just helped Eric take off a head on his 2v while I was bored at the shop. I like those guys, too bad I can't say the same for the shop Eric works at. They just cost me about $2000 in rear end damage. They messed my shit up pretty good.

Yup yup! I know Carl too, heard he finaly took out the shelby gt to go down to mustang week. I've driven Bobby's car a few times, thats what convinced me to go with a billet wheel precision turbo! yeah he got thed 5.4 f150 shortblock for a steal! I've never been by PCM I know its over in Raleigh, that sucks about the damage! What happened?

I originally just wanted them to do a rear end refresh and gear change but they could not do the install without massive whining. They ruined two new sets of Ford 3.73 gears, and bearings/seals & carbon fiber clutch packs. The clutch packs they didn't soak and installed in the wrong order. Rear end has grit in it and the gears are junk again. They didn't even fill it with enough fluid or friction modifier.

I then had them install Steeda weld in relocation brackets and they first had the car aligned in the rear and then drove it around and welded the brackets at a 20 deg. angle toward the rear of the car. This in turn altered the wheel base and rotated the axle and forced the drive shaft into an awkward angle. They ruined two sets of poly bushings on my lower control arms by over torqueing them. They impact tightened everything on the rear with no load on it. They drilled out my Metco UCA mount to fit a larger bolt in it because they broke the original bolt and now I have that dreaded clunk that I bought the mount for in the first place. They claimed they set my pinion angle but it was way off and I had to fix it. They broke my racestar lug nuts because they impacted them on and then ruined my Mcgards because they didn't know how to install offset washers. The washers dug grooves into my racestars that I had to grind out so my third set would fall into the pocket. They replaced my LCA tabbed nuts from Ford I guess cause they felt like it. They left my driveshaft front bolts on by only a few threads and then wanted to drive the car(good thing I noticed before).

These guys had my car sitting on the pinion snubber of the UCA because the used the wrong hole on the UCA mount and set my pinion angle with the car like this and sitting on the bumstops. At one point I was told to go get my stock suspension parts and put them back on since my car sits too low and that's the reason the UCA was resting on the axle housing. Turns out it was just mounted in the wrong hole. They then rewelded the relocation brackets with the car in the air and no UCA in the car or loaded suspension. At that point I went and got the car to take it else where to be fixed. Oh they also installed my rear springs upside down. They use an air gun for everything, and no torque wrench at all.

Gears, bearings/seals & carbon fiber clutch packs $350
Labor $450
Bushings/bolts/washers $175
UCA Mount $140
Relocation brackets $140
Labor/alignment $270
Lug nuts $120
Driveshaft $700

New gears/bearings/seals/clutch packs + install $800 (reputable shop)

This is the reason I'm not going turbo for a while. I decided to keep and install my Mac longtubes and FRPP cams/manifold. It's become a nightmare for something so simple but with all the repairs I have to do I'll wait on the turbo. There are few other small issues I had with them but this post is getting too long, don't want to clutter up the thread.
