LOL okay definitely not getting forgestars anymore.

Sorry about what i said about the tuner lugs, Kbreeze. I've never run into this issue before and I've dealt with a ton of aftermarket wheels.

No problem. I emailed Peter back asking if he has a link to a place that sells lug nuts that small that will work. He responded saying he didn't know of any online stores but they sell the lug nuts for $50 set. Looked them up and they are no name generic chrome ones that they probably buy for $10/set, if that. Sucks you can't even use quality lugs on these wheels. Why the heck wouldn't they just make the holes a little bigger? One other note, it's lucky I inquired about this or I could have went to have the wheels installed and not been able to do so. Can't believe they don't even inform you that you need special lugs when you buy them.

Oh and just for the record I emailed Jeff back @ McGard asking him if the Spline drives would work and this is his response:

"The SplineDrive lug nut is too short and will bottom-out on the wheel stud. It has an OAL of only 1.24” and an internal depth of less than an inch."

Ooh good to know about the splinedrives. That sucks. I really liked them because of the rotating seat taper they had, it doesn't scratch up your wheel.

just so yal know, aftermarket wheels take aftermarket lugs, oem wheels take oem lug nuts...never use oem for aftermarket or vise versa, they do not sit correctly and is really dangerous...and hub centric rings are the plastic rings they supply to you, you dont necessarily need them and there not gonna vibrate, justmake sur eyou put your wheel on center, thats why when you tighten your lugs you do like a star pattern

and there are lug nuts you can buy for like 30 bucks, if someone wants ur wheels there gonna take them regardless of your locking lugs...i rocked cheap lugs on my volks and other high price wheels ive had, thats why you have insurance for anyways

also just look up tuner lug nuts, there very skinny and made for aftermarket wheels
even gorilla lugs are good, dont let lug nuts be the reason to not get wheels

Agreed. I had a set of spline lugs from autozone on my set of 20's. $35 and it came with the thin walled socket.

Buy them from Amazon.

65330BK - http://www.amazon.com/McGard-65330B...BDR2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1331179807&sr=8-1

65300 - http://www.amazon.com/McGard-65300-SplineDrive-Installation-Tool/dp/B000COTX9S/ref=pd_sim_auto_1

25330 - http://www.amazon.com/McGard-25330-Chrome-Black-Tuner/dp/B0002UOQLM

I'm running these, zero issues. I do want to add that my wheels now rub the rear with my car at stock ride height. A 5/16" spacer fixed this.

Sweet! So the splinedrives work fine?

Where and what is exactly rubbing with the rear since you've got stock back on? And what was preventing it from rubbing with what you had, which is what I have now?

I have been thinking about getting rid of my F14's and getting some CF5's in 19 inch. I really like the look of those more..

If you look inside your wheel well there is an obvious hump there. When the suspension was shorter that hump ended up in side the wheel. Now it ends up against the inside of the wheel.

Well we are getting conflicting info here. Again, Peter @ Forgestar emailed me saying "You will need a conical seat and the lugs to not have larger than 17mm hex head"

The lugs you linked are 13/16" which are 21 mm.

WTF??

This is the lug nut set I was going to use right here, which are also 13/16": http://www.amazon.com/McGard-84530-...011&vehicleType=automotive&newCar=1&carId=002

But Peter said they wouldn't work so I cancelled the order on them.

Sighhh.

The lugs I listed are spline drive. The 21MM end sticks 4" out of the wheel. I promise they work. I have a scratched wheel to prove that using standard lugs doesn't work.

My car is 100% back to stock and being traded in sometime in the next few weeks. My wife is getting a new Expedition....

Oh yeah, I'm ordering a GB 2013 GT500! Have an agreement in writing to receive the first allocations order at $500 under MSRP!

Ok,So you are saying the actual lug nut itself is no where near 21mm wide, and only the very end of the installation tool is actually 21mm wide?

Just as a sid note why didn't you just buy the whole kit instead of inidividual pieces? http://www.amazon.com/McGard-65530BK-Chrome-SplineDrive-Installation/dp/B0006HOVMK/ref=pd_sxp_f_pt

Congrats on the 2013 GT500, man, that's one bada$$ car!

The McGard SplineDrives are definitely NOT 21mm in diameter. I think the 21mm is referring to the splinedrive key, which attaches to the lug nut, and you put a 21mm socket on the end to wrench it.

So here's the continuation and latest with my fiasco:

Friday 3/2/12: 3-way call between my Credit Card company, myself and Jonathan @ Forged Wheel Source.
Long story short, after reiterating I would take the Brushed Titanium for the same $1340 I paid him and we'd call it a day (Which I emailed him that request on 2/27 and again on 3/31 advising how Pete has them ready to go - but he never responded to either email), Jonathan continued to insist that I can't change the color and claimed they were going to the powdercoater that day (Yeah right - I've heard that before). But he eventually says ok let me call the manager @ Forgestar and see what can be done.

No word back that day or thru the weekend.

Monday 3/5/11: Sent a followup email to Jonathan to please get back to me. Once again get no response.

Tuesday 3/6/11: Called Peter @ Forgestar and he told me Jonathan did call him (Not sure when) and he was meaning to call him back today. Peter said he does have the Brushed Titanium ones ready to go and when I asked when they could be shipped he said "today." He said he has had them the whole time and even asked Jonathan at the time I placed the order if I wanted them and Jonathan told him know I only want the Silver! (LOL - Jonathan not only never told me they offered this but has refused to change to that color for the past two weeks!). So this WHOLE TIME THE WHEELS COULD HAVE BEEN SHIPPED BACK ON 1/27 WHEN I PLACED THE ORDER!!. For seasons beyond my scope Jonathan seems to have been hell bent on me only getting silver ones and also hell bent on not working with me and not responding to emails. In addition to the emails above, there were many others! So anyhow, I ask Pete if he can call him now, and Peter says yeah I'll call him right now…so I ask Peter to please just shoot me a quick email after he talks to him. At that point I emailed Jonathan advising I spoke to Peter and that he has the Titanium F14's ready to ship now and will be calling you and to please confirm after speaking to him. (Never got a response to that email either). This was all about 1:30pm.

…so it gets to be about 4:30pm and I still haven't heard anything. Called Peter back…and he casually was like uhhh yeah I haven't called yet. and then doesn't really say anythign else. I'm like umm…well can you call him? He says ok hang on I'll try calling him now on the other line. So he eventually comes back and says ok he will be faxing me over shipping labels. So I'm like ok great.

Wednesday 3/7/11: Email Peter in the morning asking if he got the shipping labels. Peter responds about 1:30pm stating he never received the shipping labels. So I call Jonathan and he is like uhhh yeah we will be faxing them over. I ask when and he is I'm just waiting for my shipping dept to create the labels and send to me. So I'm like ok will they be sent by the end of the day??..and he is not really sure and I'm thinking WTF, how long does it take to print and fax a Shipping label!? For the rest of the day never got confirm from either that the labels were rcvd or sent.

Today: Called Jonathan aasking if the labels were sent he said yes they were sent over (Didn't sound very convincing either) I said were they sent yesterday and he's not sure if it was yesterday or today. Anyhow, I'll call Peter and verify he has the labels at if the wheels will ship today.

Kicker in all this, again, is these wheels could have shipped way back on 1/27 if Jonathan only relayed what Peter claims me he told him at the time, which is that he already had a set of titaniums ready to go (Which of coruse I would have said yes too) And even after that When I found out he had them, I emailed Jonathan on 2/27 saying to please just give me the titanium ones and I'll be happy (Which he ignored and then refused to do for unkown reasons)…unfortunately there wasn't any kind of communication, attention given, customer service or brains involved.…It boggles my mind! Instead had to deal with a lot of stress, a lot of uneccesary communications, a lot of wasted time and even a C.C. dispute. LOL, but sounds like they will finally be shipping!

So even after all that shit, you want the wheels? I don't care who it is, that's way too much shit to deal with IMHO.
