I recently installed hotrod cams/tune and I picked up a misfire on number 7. I replaced the plug and swapped the coil no CEL so far. I'm now replacing all the plugs and number 7 is gummed up again with only a few hundred miles on it. Does anybody know what could be causing this?

I have not swapped injectors yet I tried a new tune first and the same thing happen. The plug fouled on number 7 and damp with fuel. Should I just order a new injector? Before the cam and new tune I didn't have any issues.

No...swap the injector first as mentioned. While your doing that make sure you plugged them all in securely and seated them all well when you did the cams.

Ok swapped the injector and still fouling the number 7 plug. I have no CELs and the cars run smooth just a lack of power and hunts for idle a bit when coming to a stop. Here's a pic of the plug. Looks like oil is getting on the plug. The car ran perfect before the cams.

I had a similar problem with my neon many years ago, was the seal on the spark plug tube, and the top of the plug was soaked within a couple hundred miles of changing, how it got from top to bottom is beyond me, but it was happening.

I pulled the plug with 200ish miles and it was already fouled. I don't see any leaks . I guess I'll do a compression test maybe change the injector pigtail its brittle and looks like it is about to break.
Anybody else have any ideas?

I'm kind of having a similar problem, except the inside part is considerably blacker than all the other plugs. Continuous misfirer in cylinder 4 which started happening about 2 hours after hot rod cam driving. I'll be keeping up with this thread
