I have a question for those more tech savy then myself. I know it is doable but would it be cost effective to install a fuel cell, preferably a custom one to fit where the spare tire goes, along with it own pump, line, the works. Somehow wire it and the stock fuel system to a say toggle switch so one postion it would run off the tank and the other it would run off the fuel cell. That way I could keep the best of both worlds by running the car on the street all the time like I do now and really leaning on it at the track with race fuel in the feul cell. I drive my car to the track and the nearest one to me is over two hour away.
Currently I use the Torco race fuel accelerator at the track but would like to run 112 and not have to carry feul cans unless I was low on the 112. That way I could run a bit more boost and spark than I am running now at the track but still not have to trailer the car there and back. I like driving my 10 second street car to the track, letting air out of the DR's and letting her rip, then airing the tires back up and driving it home. I have run a best of 10.7 with the torco so far but I would like to run faster but do not want to turn the boost up anymore without race gas.
Let me know your thoughts if this is a pipe dream or if it would be cost effective enough to do.
