Fuel level problem

Actually, no cuts at all. I split a length of vacuum line down the middle and placed it around the sharp edge of the hole in the floorboard. Worked like a charm.

sorry to dig up an old thread, if im having the same problem with the fuel not transferring over, (I almost ran out of gas with 5 gal left) and i have a completely stock untouched fuel system, is it likely that the transfer tube came off or the siphon tube came off?

I would pull the passengerside sender. Doesn't require you to clear the pressure. Check the pick up. Possible something is in there blocking the line. Not sure if it is possible the tube came off but hey I guess anything is possible...
