^well thats not a lot to go on.

Anyone know the actuall weight that going with a C&L will add and what kind of gains I would see with one on my car at 20lbs

The c&l is a lot of weight. I want to say 30 lbs. but I'm not 100% sure. Marc S ran one with a Procharger at 20+psi and gained 6rwhp iirc.

Is there any reason you aren't considering the FRPP? Afraid of black lung? They put a pretty good warranty on them. Something like 36 months.

How much has anyone pushed thru an FRPP? Looking at upgrading to gain some power and room to grow. The C&L is also about $100 cheaper than the FRPP on AM website.

I don't have the answer. I know that it extended airflow into the higher rpms with my big bore when compared to the stock manifold.

Isn't the stock manifold made from the same material as the frpp?

Well then, the C&L is $600 on AM but it says out of stock. Thanks Bruce.

Well if the C&L is going to add 30lbs or near it to the front I am not much interested in that anyway. I need a larger turbo to run much more boost. Need a larger fuel system either way if I take it too much farther(86% duty cycle right now). I am bored again if you havent noticed yet, so thinking about a larger turbo(1500-$1700) or a wet kit. Although I believe I can pick up a decent amount of power with things like an intake swap. Too bad heads are so damn expensive.

Edit: I just noticed that the pull took one second less with the frpp intake on. That could be due to other things as the tune was being developed but it is interesting. I should go back into the logs and make sure both pulls started at the same rpms and speed. Looking at the pre pull airflow it looks like both were started at low speeds and rpms.

I have no idea how well the FRPP intake would help your setup. This is the increase I saw in logged airflow while na with the big bore. Everything else was the same, only the intake was changed.

Stock manifold.

FRPP manifold.

Notice 41lbs of air (yellow trace) at 6100 rpms with the stock manifold. With the frpp 41lbs came in at 5000 rpms. Big difference imo. It was also noticeable when doing pulls. Instead of falling off it kept pulling.

You should get one and see what happens, lol. They even come with fasteners, fuel line, clamps, and gaskets.

josh i dont think a manifold will give u much gains but i could be wrong. i would do heads and custom grind cams. but your right the price from them is crazy i thought about doing heads and cams this winter but gotta see if the funds are there if not ill be cutting more weight out of the car. I would also think about a lil juice.

So Josh, I was considering the FRPP mani for a little while but didn't want to spend the extra $$ on it at the moment. Supposedly, as Bruce mentioned, the FRPP will only extend your RPM range. The stock one generally falls off low to mid 6's while the FRPP will keep pulling till 7 or 7+. I almost got a C&L but didn't want the heavy cast intake up there. Best bet would be to try to get a line on a Hogan Sheet Metal or wait for C&L's to be released and see how well that does. For now just get the fuel system and turbo(my suggestion)

Edit:

Jeremy will speak differently on the FRPP intake as he has real world experience, but I think he was switched over to a billet wheel turbo before he got a good pull as comparison to before. Could be wrong on that though.

I wouldn't buy a new car. Pay off a bunch of stuff and start on my home remodeling projects I have been putting off.
