Test & Tune 4/26 & 4/27. I'm hoping to be at TVD that Saturday if I can find time to replace my clutch.

Yeah Bruce, spun the tires on the first two pulls so we threw 4 bags of sand in the trunk and fixed that right up. I am going to try to make it up to thunder valley on either the 26 or the 27th if that is a tnt. Hopefully i will be able to get a gopro by then and put up a good run before getting the ax, lol. Never been on an actual 1/4 track before

If it's anything like where I grew up about 20 miles away the elevation will be around 1100 feet above sea level. Hopefully you get a nice cool day.

Let them know it's your first time.

Pay attention to the cars in front of you and how they stage. If you're on street tires then you want to drive around the water pit, then back up into it to get the rear tires wet. Pull forward out of the water and then do your burnout. Just about 3-4 seconds will be plenty, you are just cleaning them off.

Pull up to the line until you break the first beam (top light comes on). Let the driver in the other lane light his top light, then ease up until you light the second light. When the lights on the tree come down you want to launch on the third yellow.

You want to do a full burnout with the drag radials. Some places will let you back into the water and some won't. Just watch what's going on and you should be fine.

Josh also, if you are scared they will boot you for running too fast....you could perfect your 60' and launch and only run to the 1/8 mark and coast the rest until you are ready to make a good 1/4 pass. Just a thought....

With a helmet and fire jacket he should be good to 10.00 thanks to the new rule.

I just saw that on the rule page myself. I should be fine. Hopefully it won't be too busy and I can get a few runs in.

TnT is usually a lot less strict than competitive events. Our TnT does absolutely zero vehicle inspections, my car has never been inspected in 3 years. One time I had one guy who didn't know the rules tell me that I was going to need a cage but he had no authority whatsoever and I simply said "yeah, whatever" and ignored him.

I would too, but I've been to three different tracks over the last 3 years and to this day have never had anyone inspect my car other than a cursory glance as they hand me the clipboard to sign the release.
