Well the deal on the Fox Lake heads fell through, so here I go with this job again.

I also ordered all the parts to degree the new cams along with a fresh set of 15410 valve springs and ford valve stem seals today.

Those are the heads I was going to buy.

Thanks Doug. Hopefully things will progress soon.

Lapping valves. The set on the left have been through the first round. Right haven't been touched yet.

Today I finished lapping all the valves. Short block assembly will start tomorrow. I decided to run as is. I don't get many miles on my setup and I will go oversize next maintence teardown if it makes it that far.

Took a little bit of filing on the intake to get this plate to sit tight. Just a bit of clearancing for the selonoids

The intake is the JPC sheet aluminum version. Took just a bit of filing to the passengers side front to make clearance for the selonoids

I got the heads on and torqued down today. Also degreed the cams.

First time degreeing cams so it took me about 4hrs. Not something I would want to do very often I can say that for sure.

Sweet progress! and here I felt good installing my off road x pipe by this past weekend.

Got adumb question...how can you make degree changes? Does the way the sprocket affixes to the cam allow for that?
