Im still trying to round up all the parts I need for a gear change for a 2012 GT with manual transmission.

I'm using Amsoil MTL in the transmission and Amsoil 5W-20 Signature series in the engine, so I figured i would use their gear oil also. I have three choices:
Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-90

Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-110
http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/svt.aspx
Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-140

I know Ford calls for the 75W-140, but is this the best weight to use?

And with the Amsoil, do I need to use the friction modifier?

I definitely want to go with the Ford Racing install kit. This is where I'm a little confused on what part I need.
One guy recommended this kit:

This kit says it's designed for IRS axles, which I dont have.
Then there is this kit:

This kit is for Non-IRS cars, but for 1986-2004 models.

Those two were the only ones I've been able to find and neither seem right.

Also, I guess on the newer models, it is best to add the updated ring gear pinion bearing???

For gears, I want to use the Ford Racing 3.73's or 4.10's. I'm still having trouble deciding.

3.73's

4.10's

And last but not least, I want to put on the Ford Racing rear differential cover:

With the above cover, I'm sure oil capacity will increase. So how much oil do I need to buy total?

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out on what all I need to get because I would like to get this stuff ordered next week.

Thanks in advance,
Rob

most 8.8's hold 2.3 qts with stock cover so get 3 to cover it. Use the non irs install kit. But if you have low mileage all you really need is a new pinion, gear, pinion bearing and some shims, as the other bearings are still in good shape and need nothing. Lastly 75 140 is all i have ever run and I wouldn't recommend changing it IMO

Have you looked at Late Model Restoration?

I got my whole kit (Gears and install) for $249. I believe they give a member discount also.

Yes, but they use a generic install kit instead of the Ford Racing install kit, and also give you Royal Purple oil in the incorrect weight.

I would like to buy the Ford Racing install kit, but can't seem to find out exactly what part number I need. I wish somebody put a kit together with all top quality parts.
