Just wanted to give a bump to Gibtec Pistons here in Denver, CO. They make some of the finest custom billet pistons you can buy. They were designed initially for the 4v crowd but I just had them do a 3v set for me.. So they are tooled up and have the design work already done. They can make them in ANY size you want. And ANY spec you want for literally no extra charge. You no longer have to buy pistons in specific increments of 10, 20, 30 over.
I got mine for a 302 Stroker. My block was only honed about. 005 so I had the pistons made to fit. I went a dish for 9:1 compression with .040 offset wrist pins, with the first ring down .250 from the top, an accumulator groove in the second ring land, custom .200 wall tool steel pins, total seal rings, moly coated skirts. Extra thick skirt material.. For about $1300.... That's for a set of custom billet 2618 pistons. You can't get a better piston for that price.
