I am taking my 14 GT to the track tonight to see what she runs.

What is a good rpm to shift at?

The car has Magnaflow cat-back and a SCT X4 off the shelf 93 tune.

Thanks,

Auto or manual? Are you going with a street tire or DR?

I am assuming manual and street tire but you never know. What is your limiter set at on your 93 tune?

When mine was NA, I shifted around 7k. Ran 12.20 @ 116 on 275/40-18 NT05s with UPR tune, UPR xpipe, and UPR control arms.

Well I got back from the track.....It was hard to get the tires to hook up in 1st and shifting to 2nd.

I managed a 12.409 @ 112.78

I was hitting the limiter right before the finish line, so I went and raised the limiter to 7,500 and managed a 113.5 mph

All right, good job. Honestly, you did better then I thought you would.

And I did mention your limiter, wondering where you had it at. I wonder what you could do with some DRs?

What was the DA?

I thought the same thing, it was faster then I thought it would be with only a cat back and OFT tune.

The time slip doesn't show the DA?

Yeah, I had to launch at 2,000 and was still getting wheel spin or hop.

I have a set of 245/40/18 MT's in the basement, would it be worth getting some 18's to put them on?

Or should I save up and get a wider tire?

I'm very impressed with your 60' time. I have yet to manage better than a 2.00 on street tires. My best run has been 12.43 @ 114 with a 2.03 60'. Are those the stock Pirelli tires?

Rim and tire really depends on serious you are about drag racing. 18 drag radial will b ok for a better launch maybe .2 or so. If you looking for 11.5. 118mph. I run 15 rim and tire combo on a auto full bolt ons and mike rousch tune. I think the stick guys prefer bi ply rear and 4-5000 launch. Not sure of the success of drag radial with a stick

That's very good considering the mods! I wouldn't get 18s specifically for your 245 DRs. I'd want you to run AT LEAST 285/40-18 DRs. I run 305/35-19 DRs on mine. (dead hooks with the Procharger and UPR suspension)

No, they are 275/35/19 Hankook RS3 AutoX street tires.

That I am selling by the way, Only 2 AutoX and 1 drag race.
