You could have rebuilt the turbo for not much more than 100$ in parts. Hell the newer turbos are balanced independently of the shaft and independently of each-other. In either case, using a marker could have saved you the doubt. Just saying as the bearing and seal kits generally go for 30-100bux.....

I'm aware of that and weighted out the pros and cons prior to decided to sell.

Well I have a new issue now.

I'm getting a noticeable miss at idle and at WOT its pretty obvious. Normal driving is smooth without any misses that i can feel or hear.

- No CELs
- Checked all the plugs. All look fine and gaps are within spec.
- Cleaned the MAF
- Ran a 1/3 can of Seafoam through it. No change
- Checked and reseated the injectors/ o-rings

Anything else I can check before I do a compression test? I really just wish it would throw a CEL so I have somewhere to start......

How about the plug wires (I mean the wires going to the coil packs)? Are the coil packs seated snugly on the plugs? Maybe the misfire has not be alive long enough to set a CEL?

Sorry, Nick, I have more questions than answers for you, lol.

All the CP's and connectors are all snug.

I would think if I didn't have a cylinder firing it would miss all the time instead of only during idle and WOT. I would also think if CP was bad, one of the plugs would be wet with fuel when I pulled them.

Does anyone know how to tell if a PCV valve is bad?

Nick, have you datalogged the car while doing a wot pass?

Not yet.

What PID's should I select to pin point this issue?

Even if I do the data log, I'm not sure if I could read it properly to see if some thing isn't normal. Would someone be willing to check my log out if I email it to them?

Thanks for all the advice thus far everyone!!

This would be my suggestion also!

What plugs are you running currently?

Factory plugs with the stock gap @ .050

With a blower?

No. I don't have the paxton installed yet. It's enroute. Only performance mods that are currently installed is a O/R H pipe and a Bama tune.

I ran one step colder gapped at .035 when I had the hellion kit installed. The hellion kit is already sold, shipped, and long gone out of my life. Lol

Just performed a compression test. All are within the 10% of each other.

Didn't get a chance to pull the manifold to flush/clean it because it started raining. Might give it a try if the rain lets up.

Any way of telling if a o2 sensor is bad if there is no CEL?

You need a scanner that has good data with it. You need to watch Voltage and Fuel Trims to see how they are responding!

UPDATE:

Got a tip from a vendor on what he thought the issue was. Threw in the NGK's I had ran in the hellion kit, went and did a few hard pulls and Yahtzee it was fixed. I guess one or more of the factory plugs must have got damaged some how in between installing and uninstalling the hellion kit. Don't know, don't really care to be honest.

Car is pulling strong again. It still has a slight random miss at idle that I don't remember it having prior to the single kit but the car is definitely cleaned up though.

Theres no words that can define how nervous/stressed this ordeal has had me the past few days. What a relief!

Thanks again to all that tried to help!

Still haven't been able to track down the cause of the rough missing idle.

Took the cat deletes off today and loaded the stock tune back on. Still idling like shit and still not a single code. Car is also still slightly smoking from the mufflers during and after hard pulls. Other then that, it runs and pulls hard.

Here's what's been checked or addressed so far:

New plugs gapped at .050
Ran a 1/3 can seafoam through the intake
New PCV valve
Pulled intake manifold and thoroughly cleaned it
Checked CP's and connectors
Checked all the O rings on the injectors and reseated them
Cleaned the MAF twice
Compression test checked out fine

Car damn near idles like I have a ghost cam tune. Anybody got any other ideas??!!

Only thing left I can think of would be the front o2 sensors. Gonna drop it off at the stealership Monday morning so they can tell nothing is wrong with it, lol.
