Search for "Bently-Harris sleeving". Western filament would also make what you are looking for. Both are widely used in the aircraft industry. Keep in mind that once you sleeve it there is no way of repairing a wire inside of the bundle without replacing the wire or sleeve.

Isn't not having to repair a wire the entire point of the sleeve?

But yea, if for some reason something does happen, you'll have to de pin the connector and slide it off or cut it off.

I've been working with the stuff for over 25 years. Things happen and I'm just sharing my experience.

I prefer the split convoluted tubing in the engine bay for this reason. It doesn't look as good but if you need to find a wire for a power source or some other reason it's a lot easier to get at. If you are absolutely sure about your setup and that it won't change or won't need a key on power source, etc. then it's not so important.

You would also need to configure your break outs ahead of time, have the correct parts and methods to accomplish it, etc. Just things to think about.

Looks great Jim.

I agree, this type of thing works best with some forethought and planning. Otherwise it can get in the way.

As usual, jim manages to make it look easy

Agree with the difficulty in getting to wires later. Since I installed the first blower on this car and made those initial extensions I have never needed back on the harness tho. This is the 4th blower on the car. If I need to add something power wise it all comes from my painless add a circuit. I also intentionally left some things like tps, frps, iat, maf etc separate from the main harness. All other wires can be accessed from the bec harness. Hope I don't need to bit could get at almost anything.

Planning is no shit. Spent lots of time studying and every time you do something you learn from it and find better ways

They do sell split abrasion jacket. Seems like a good medium

Better than plastic yes. Still looks like shit imo. The 2-step comes with that crap.

On my way for a 3hr round trip to pick up my front fascia from my dad in laws paint shop. Have a local guy coming in morning that specializes in high end car paint correction (detailing). She has photo shoot coming up soon and needs her paint did lol.

Will leave with yet another crappy cell phone pic lol

Yes. I had no option. I also have two painless add a circuits for all my stuff lol. Doing so I will also need to trim the black interior wall of the glove box. So, basically losing the glove box for utility. Nothing in there anyway. I do like that I just open the glove box to get to the fuse box tho

And just dressed up my coolant hoses to the manifold. This stuff is addicting. Like most things (other than supermodels) looks better in person

When sleeving the wiring, did you remove the factory plastic?

The results are fantastic... I'm going to follow your lead and do the same to mine.

Looking forward to the tuck picks for the fuse box.

Thank you.

That is the last thing I need to finish. Literally a couple hours left. Could have started it today but did not want to rush and do/miss sitting stupid

Will have better pics up in a few hours also

Why is that intake open to the engine bay? I would think you would want it completely seperated.
