I don't think it's the same, but it should clear the whipple no problem. I can't say for sure.

really....ugh....didnt think the center of the gt500 hood was raised up that much, if at all

A dremmel fixes the clearance issue. I cut a couple notches in my hood to clear the GT500 stb...
