Installed a gt500 tb on my car now it hangs idle in between shifts. I called my tuner and spoke with him, he said it should adjust itself to where it should be after a couple of drives?? Any truth to this or may I have a vac leak somewhere that I'm missing? My boost gauge is still reading 18-20 vac at idle and my idle is normal after it sits and adjusts itself for a second.

After a track visit I'm not happy with my tune anyways but there is no one else local that can tune my car.

I have the same issue after installation of gt500 tb..... My thinking was maybe a vac leak but my tuner told me its tunning related and he has had others come to him with the same issue..... Has always fixed with dyno time...... I'm going on the dyno tues to get it fixed.... Will post info then...

Try data logging the dashpot channel along with the throttle pedal position and throttle body position. I'm in the middle of doing this and am waiting on a tune modification to fix it. I'm not 100% sure on how it all works but the dashpot channel may show a slow response to throttle closing. If it does than for sure its a tune thing.

I had this exact same problem when I installed my GT500 TB, took it to my tuner and he got it working great. There are some values in the tune that need to be adjusted.
