I think i got a fairly good deal on a set of gt500 wheels and tires with about 800 miles on them. I picked them up for $675. I put them on my stock 09 gt and It looks BADASS. But there seems to be a price for the looks and handling. I use to be able to get around 20.3 mpg now it's about 16.1. another problem just occured as I got home tonight. the TPMS light went on. I got out and tires looked fine, how low on air do you have to be to activate this sensor.

There is a $25-$30 tool that looks like a gray key fob. It will allow you to recalibrate the new GT500 wheels to your GT using your key, the tool, and some very simple steps. I'll see if I can dig up a pic / link for it.

The mpg's should not of been effected by the tires that much. The tire revolutions per mile is almost the same.. You might have another problem.

Very, very simple.

It's basically turn key on, pump brake, and then cycle the key afew more times, (something like that).. then the horn will sound and the message center displays TMPS program ready.. walk around to the Frt Left tire, hold the tool 180 degrees from valve stem, and press the button.. horn will sound once again.. use the tool the same way on the other wheels going around the car in a clockwise direction. The last one the message center will say programming complete. Now this isn't exactly the steps, as they're not with me right now, but it's pretty close.

It might take you 2 minutes, will save you from paying the dealership everytime you need to reset the system, and you'll have another tool! :beerchug2:

yeah no shit, cant find a set under $1000!

I got mine for $800 from a local GT500 owner, and they had less then 100 miles on them. There are deals like that out there. You just have to be patient and keep your eyes open. :thumb2:
